This message could have been brought up for any number of reasons and the fact that they are fully computerised makes them very complicated (eg. Sensor failure elecronic failure, misfiring mechanical failure) without the right tools, you will need a volvo vida code reader (check ebay). Otherwise you will have to go to a volvo repairer to get the car scanned for error codes. Note; a independent volvo workshop is generally cheaper for the same thing.
position bulbs are tail lights and marker lights.emmisions service is the same as check engine light. take it back to the shop. something left unpugged jarred loose etc.
Hello. I recommend that you take your vehicle to an autozone, or other autoparts store, or a volvo dealership and get it scanned. That is the only way to pinpoint the issues that are generating the engine system service required message. I would do this ASAP so that you do not find yourself stranded somewhere. good luck with it. regards, Joe
have the code read at a partsource or if you have a reader check the trouble code. could be low on transmission oil or its the computer with the factory set parameters on when your next transmission service was due
There are three ecu settings? gearbox / main ecu / and center control, they all will need to be updated then a process called learning cycle which has to be reset by the technicians, then the car needs to be driven to adapt the new transmission.
