This obd2 trouble code table can help you understand the meaning of code.
and for p0441, you can try:
Repair damaged EVAP lines or canister.

Repair open or short in voltage feed circuit to Purge Solenoid.

Repair open in PCM purge command circuit.

Replace purge Solenoid.

Replace vacuum switch.

Repair restriction in Evap line or canister or soleniod.

Repair resistance in purge connector.

Replace PCM.

for p0442

Remove and reinstall the gas cap, clear the codes, and drive for a day and see if the codes come back.

Otherwise, replace the gas cap, or

Inspect the EVAP system for cuts/holes in tubes/hoses.

These codes are all for the Evaporative Emissions System.

P0440- Evaporative emissions system fault- just saying there's something wrong with the system.

P0441- Evaporative emissions system- Incorrect purge flow- saying that the system isn't purging the raw fuel vapors (hydrocarbons- HC) as well as it should.

P0446- Evaporative emissions system- Control valve circuit low- there is a valve, usually located on the charcoal canister at the rear of the vehicle, that opens to allow fresh air to enter the evaporative emissions system as the engine vacuum purges the fuel vapors from the charcoal canister and closes when purge is not needed to prevent leakage of those fuel vapors to the atmosphere (HC is a greenhouse gas and is regulated as such by the fed gov't).

Given that you have the incorrect purge flow code and the control valve code together, my bet is that the vent control valve has failed (causing the P0446) and is not opening to allow fresh air into the system to displace the air from within the system that is being pulled to the engine. Since you have no fresh air entering the system, the engine will pull a vacuum on the system instead of the vapors "flowing" into the engine (causing the P0441).

I hope that this is helpful to you!!!

Error code P0446 is an Evaporative Control System vent control malfunction. DTCs P0441 and P0446 are recorded by the ECM when evaporative emissions leak from the certain components, or when there is a malfunction in either the VSV for EVAP, the VSV for
pressure switching valve, or in the vapor pressure sensor itself.

SOURCE: Code P0441 and P0446. What does it mean?

Both codes are with the EVAP SYSTEM, there are numerous items it could be. A repair shop that does Toyotas or the delaler would be the best to check it out for you. Its not anything that will leave you walking or disable the car.

I have DTC Codes; P0441, P0442, and P0446 EVAP codes. Have had too many things replaced to name and still have codes. Originally, only had one code P0442, after the unsuccessful removal of severalevap

code p 0442 refers to evaporative emission(EVAP) system---small leak detected====causes--hose connections--intake leak--EVAP canister--EVAP canister purge valve
it also refers to --large leak detected====causes fuel cap loose, off---mechanical fault--hose connections---EVAP pressure sensor
code p 0441 refers to EVAP system--incorrect flow detected====causes hoses, intake leak-- EVAP canister purge valve
code p 0446 refers to EVAP system, vent control---circuit malfunction===causes--wiring---EVAP canister purge valve----ECM
if you can remember when the problem started ( after refueling) it may be that the cap is not fitted correctly
it could that in the fixing process , the wiring has not been correctly installed or the problem is the canister purge valve needs attention

How to fix whatever caused the codes P0441, P0442,P0446

Check and make sure your gas cap is screwed on tightly. Then, check the vacuum lines are attached correctly and not leaking. I would bet one of the hoses came off or you have a hole in one or more. The hoses split with age. Start with these, before changing sensors or solenoids.

Car won't start after putting in gas

This is a CLASSIC symptom of an evaporative emissions issue. GM has had tons of issues with this system. Don't even think about fuel pump at this point. Read this post on how EVAP works.

Then read this post on service bulletins GM has issued on the EVAP system
