How often does it need to be filled? could be a hose leak or line leak but is burning off the motor or exhaust before it can puddle under car. does your exhaust pipe smell or produce a white steam ( smoke ) in color when running? this would indicate the motor has a bad head gasket or cracked head which is letting coolant burn through the cylinder(s), Double check for leaks, under and above motor. it takes a while for anti-freeze to burn off a hot surface due to its lubricant so wipe any wet area and check again. Also you can pull spark plugs( noting what cylinder each plug came from) a spark plug will be very white or clean in color if that cylinder is burning coolant, which indicates a bad gasket or cylinder leak.

It has 266,000 mi after driving about 60 mi you can smell antifreeze but no sign of fluid loss

The fact that you smell it means one of two things:

Either it is getting into the passenger compartment, in which case it could be a pinhole leak in the heater core, with the leakage draining out the A/C condensation tray OR,

It may me a leaking hose at a clamp or the water pump near the block so that the coolant is evaporating on the block and that is what you smell. Look around the hose connections and at the weep hole for the water pump for signs of coolant (darker staining).

Steam coming through ac/heater vents and outside windshield passenger side, I also smell antifreeze

sounds like you have a coolant leak from the heater core or a hose under the hood leaking you need help from a mechanic

My temp is normal new tstat not noticed any coolant leaking anywhere. But I get a smell of antifreeze as soon as you turn heat on also heat doesn't get hot all the time any help?

If you smell coolant inside when you turn the heat its, because your heat condenser is leaking. You won't notice it because the drain port is outside at passenger side. You must have a very slow leak for now but eventually, it will get bigger then you will notice it.

Over heating. Replaced thernostat and radiator and serpetine belt. No leaks. Compression test good, cool air blows but not heater air. Dual electric fans blow. No antifreeze lost. Over heats while driving...

the 97 to 02 were famous for bad gaskets between the intake manifold and heads. this caused loss of coolant. pull oil fill cap off and see if is foamy on bottom, sniff for coolant smell in exhaust. suppose you would have noticed oil in old coolant as you drained it.

My heat quit working&now im having to had water to everyday

Heat not working is either a sign of a bad thermostat or bad water pump. Since you have to add coolant I would also imagine you have a major leak. Try to verify where the leak is coming from. Heater cores can also fail but you would have coolant in your car on the passenger side floor and you would notice the smell of antifreeze. Do not drive your car until you fix this. This will destroy the engine in no time!

Heater immediately fogs all windows and there is a sweet odor in the cab of 2003 Buick Rendezvous, defroster works fine, but will not clear the windows after heat is put on

Sounds like a possible heater core failure(hole in it) the smell indicates to me the coolant(anti-freeze) is leaking into the passenger compartment.
Check the carpet in front of the front passenger seat for moisture, this would confirm heater core leak.
Good luck !

2000 Chrysler Town and Country Antifreeze leak

I would replace the Thermostat and see if that will not Stop this. It is Coming from the Overflow Tank. It is getting a Little Warm during Driving and the Extra Coolant that will Build up Preassure needs somewhere to go So, It sends it to the Overflow Reservoir and it Seeps out the Overflow Outlet. This is Pretty Common though and Really not that Big of a Deal as long as you do not loose too Much. Please Rate My Response! Thanks!

Antifreeze smell

If u smell the antifreeze inside the car, the heater core needs to be replaced most likely. It is leaking inside, and will get worse, to the point of 'fogging up' the windows inside.
