You need to do a compression check on #5. You could have blown the head gasket again.

Have a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Larado with a blown head gasket. The problem is we have lost the key and no garage will fix the head without a key and the dealership can't program a new key withou

First I would check with a different dealership. you will be required to provide only the VIN and probably some verification that you own the car, but the dealership can make a key and program it without the car even being there. I hope this helps.

2000 grand cherokee laredo overheated and anti-freeze spolled from the reservoir. what would have caused this

the over heating can be as a result of a failing fan, dirty radiator system that needs to be flushed or the head gasket that needs replacement.

1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee overheated

You probably messed up a rod or caused piston damage your going to need more than a head gasket usauly when you over heat a car you causing the pistonts to expand more then they need to causing scouring and exsisive piston ware by the sound of it and the year your better off replacing the whole motor or completely rebuilding the old one wich will cost more then a use motor! good luck!

2000 jeep grand Cherokee: engine overheating.

first, check that your oil level is full. Though it should not cause an overheat, oil does serve as part of the cooling system... Changing the oil should not have much to do with an overheating problem unless inadvertently the radiator, a hose or the cooling fans got damaged. Carefully check everything for leaks, make sure the cooling fans come on when hot.
After checking those things you will need to check the thermostat and the radiator for proper operation. If you do not have a blown head gasket one of these items are causing your problem. Before you ask...the water pump will work even when the seals are leaking or the shaft bearings are bad. If either of those two conditions exist the pump should be changed, otherwise it is not causing your problem.

2000 grand cherokee overheating heater blowing out cold air

Generally this condition is the result of coolant loss, or failed thermostat. If coolant goes below cylinder head level, or thermostat remains closed, heat will stop working. Do not drive with this condition as excessive heat buildup in cylinder head can and will do serious damage to heads and or head gasket.
Find out where leak is and correct it. Change thermostat as it may also be damaged. Check for excessive steam from tailpipe or miss in engine, as these symptoms indicate a cylinder head problem.
