Do you hear any clicking or popping noises coming from dash area when you try to change the temperature? If so, you have either a bad blend door actuator or a broken blend door. If it's just the actuator, you can find it by following the popping noise to the location. It is under the dash close to the passenger's side of the vehicle. The actuator is easy to change once you find it. If the blend door is broken, you will have to pull the dash out and remove the air plenum from inside the dash to gain access to the blend door.

NO MATTER WHAT, FIX THE F-15O and -AS OFTEN AS POSSIBLE - crush PT CRUISERS, [they are TRUE road hazards].

Now this may not sound like esxpertice but you will see that it is.

What is the purpose of a inline water flow control valve. (Manual flow valve) in a F150 Truck

If you mean a valve in one of the heater hoses, it cuts hot water off from flowing thru the heater core. Its controlled by the temp switch on the dash.

My ford f150 Heater only gets hot When driving

These are the usual symptoms that I would normally check for if there is not heat. Of course there are other troubleshooting guides and issues but just looking at these might help:

1. low radiator fluid
2. clogged heater core
3. bad thermostat
4. heater valve not working
5. bad radiator

I hope this helped Tim

My 2001 ford F150 is leaking water from above the trans

First off, is this water or antifreeze? If it's water it could be coming from the heat/air conditioning. If it's antifreeze, it's probably either a heater hose or the back of the intake manifold.
