I encountered a similar problem on a chev 4cyl with a coil pack ignition ( no distributor). It would run for a while and suddenly die out and wouldn't restart until a 10 to 20 min. cooling period. It turned out to be a crankshaft position sensor going bad. On this engine it was located in the engine block under the ignition module on the firewall side.

02 grand marquis cranks but won't start, repaced fuel pump, getting fire to coils checked all fuses

Does the check engine light go out as you crank the engine? If not, if it stays on, the computer isn't getting a good crankshaft position sensor signal. Replace the sensor or fix the wiring harness. Bad sensor is fairly common

you need to check and make sure its getting fuel, sounds to me like the fuel pump went out on you. could also be a firing problem, Check your distributor cap and rotor button. Be sure they aren't burnt. and lastly this is the worst case scenario, Timing belt/chain broke/jumped time in that case it is a very time consuming job and should be checked/repaired by a professional.

Van idles fine but when going the the road giving it gas it acts as if it isn't getting the proper gas ... it back fires....repleaced fuel filter and pump, crank and cam sensior

sounds like the timing is off. check the firing order to be sure your plug wires are on the correct positions on the coil packs. if that checks out, possibly a timing chain may need replaced. i hope this helps
