oxygen sensor ( O2) are located after the cat converter
the one in the exhaust manifold is a heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) and is a totally different operation sensor
Usually these are located on the exhaust manifold or just below the exhaust manifold and you should be able to see it in the engine bay. On V6 engines there will be one sensor on each of the 2 exhaust banks.
You will probably need to remove the engine cover to see the sensors on your exhaust.
If someone told you to replace these because you got a particular fault code I would be wary. A decent scan tool and basic diagnostics can show if the 02 sensor is working or not. Some faults often blamed on an 02 sensor are not due to faulty sensors.
I suggest you get one of those manuals people get nowadays to do it yourself.. My nephew use it to repair my car and it's totally repaired now. Here's the website he bought it from.

It sounds like the exhaust system is clogged. Try looking under your vehicle with a flashlight and look for bends/kinks in the exhaust pipes. I had a similar problem with my car, when the catalytic converter broke apart, and clogged the exhaust. i could barely reach 20km/hr, and the engine would shut off at 2500 rpm. Replacing the catalytic converter fixed my problem. Matt
The sensors are located in the exhaust system. On some vehicles, one sensor is located up at the exhaust manifold(s) and the other sensor is located down at the catalytic converter. On other vehicles, both sensors are located down at the catalytic converter.

Open the hood, as you face the engine it is located on the L/H aft side of the forward valve cover. There is a exhause gas rubber tube going into it. It should be black in color.
