Problems Running I have A 2000 Hyundia Sonata. When I stop to put gas in the car when I get back in to start the car it acts like it wi;; not start. After I do get it started it will not idle right for a few minutes. How can I solve this problem? It runs fine after that.

I have the same problem with the same year make and model. If you leave it running while fueling it will keep running but rough.

I have the same problem with the same year of the same car. It happens every time I fuel up. The engine cranks, and if I give it gas (lots of gas) it finally turns over. Then, if I keep giving it gas for about a minute, I can put it in gear and drive, but then it sometimes dies within a few seconds. Once I get it going, I don't have any trouble until I fuel it up again, and then the same thing happens. It is super frustrating. What could this be? Fuel pump?

I am going to have to ask you to get someone to duplicate these conditions while they have a fuel pressure gauge hooked up to the car, sometimes fuel pumps only fail under these conditions and it sounds like it may be acting up,,,, please rate and have a great night -jeff

I just purchased a used 2007 hyundia sonata and after drivig and getting gas the check engine light went on i called the dealership and they said that is common and to bring the car in so they could shut...

Could be as simple as not putting gas cap back on tight, or dirt on the seal area. Check the cap, and re-tighten it, as well as clean threaded area, and seal, and see what happens. If you stop at one of the big parts stores as well, they can check that for you, and usually advise as to likely cause. Ask dealer if it's a no-charge service they are doing.

Noises coming from th left frontwheel of my 2000 hyundia sonota could this be a hub and bearing noise

What kind of noises are you hearing? Most likely, you need to replace the brakes. It is very unusual for a 10 year old car to have wheel bearing problems, especially on the front wheels.

A squeal when you apply the brakes or a grinding/dragging noise while you are driving are signs that it is time to replace the brakes.

04 Hyundia Sonata LX, engine performance drains with AC running

dear friend-you are correct when you say it can be a tempreture switch that might be at fault.your air con take a lot of torque away from your engine when kicking in so you need something to compensate and restore the torque.a sensor is added into the system to do exacly that and works of a signal coming from the temp switch.that unit is normally mounted on the fire wall.
