It is the evap purge soleniod when you fill the tank feul is getting past because it is open slightly. if you get a new one your problem will go away!
I am going to have to ask you to get someone to duplicate these conditions while they have a fuel pressure gauge hooked up to the car, sometimes fuel pumps only fail under these conditions and it sounds like it may be acting up,,,, please rate and have a great night -jeff

I have the same problem that Guest and twiztedart have. It is hard to start after fill up,(I do not top off), and the engine light has now come on and stays on..It idles very ruff and at a low rpm
I have the same problem with the same year make and model. If you leave it running while fueling it will keep running but rough.
I have the same problem with the same year of the same car. It happens every time I fuel up. The engine cranks, and if I give it gas (lots of gas) it finally turns over. Then, if I keep giving it gas for about a minute, I can put it in gear and drive, but then it sometimes dies within a few seconds. Once I get it going, I don't have any trouble until I fuel it up again, and then the same thing happens. It is super frustrating. What could this be? Fuel pump?
