I've been doing research on these vans. Seems I remember that if the OD light flashes >>> fluid level is low. Also, I read where Ford wants you to overfill fluid so as to allow you to go around corners without loss of lubracation. By this time you may have melted it down and bought a Honda. I have a 95 Teal color and just in flawless shape, however it won;t go in reverse. Just follow the hood ornament and don;t look back...right ! ?
there are sencers that shift the trans. on some cars have it checked and see what codes come up if thats not it then im sorry but by the time the trans slips its to late will have to be rebuilt
If the AFT fluid level is ok then the only thing that would cause this is that the transmission has failed, the clutches are burnt up or worn out, the transmission will need to be replaced or rebuilt.
Transmission is having major problems. When the OD light flashes it means the transmission computer is detecting a problem or problems. It needs to go to a service shop for repair. I'd say your looking at a rebuild.
