My 97 lincoln continental dies at stop signs and when ging over speeds bump, driveways and turning corners. On the freeway it does not die. It doesn't happen everytime I drive it and usually only when warm. It is also becoming harder to start and sometimes I smell gas.

Check you fuel pressure regulator.Pull the vacuum hose off the regulator and if you see any fuel run out of it then the regulator is bad.

My 97 Lincoln continental vibrates at all speeds and there is a clunk when going over bumps on the passenger side. Any ideas?

Sounds like Ball joints are shot. When were they last checked/changed?Could also be tie-rods are finished.Again,do you remember last time they were checked or changed? This could be tricky if they let go at speed, get them checked.
