Run a thick wire straight from the battery to the positive terminal of the horn. If the horn sounds normal, replace the relay. If the horn is still weak, locate the adjustment screw and play with that to try improve the tone, if that does not work or if there is no screw, replace the horn,

Horn does not hoot

Have someone listen under the hood for the sound of a clicking relay as someone actuates the horn ring. Remember if the horn does blow you might scare the listener!!!

If no click check for the under hood relay. If relay not activating check the horn ring. Some times adjacent relays have same pin out/part number. Swap relay and try. Many of the cars use a "clock spring" design on the wheel. Problem air bag circuit makes it difficult to service. Check to make sure all other services are working attached to the wheel (Speed control, radio, etc). If clock spring is failing eventually other circuits would be affected.

If you have key-less entry and have a horn beep confirmation try the FOB. No beep than maybe horn clock spring OK! In no horn beep confirmation try the panic on the FOB. That should make a little noise, and if nothing else you can check your lights.
Ck the fuse if OK

How do I fix the horn on my 1964 Ford Thunderbird

check for 12 vots of power at the horn itself when pressing the horn button. If there is a reading then replace the horn unit. If there is no reading at the unit I would suspect no contact in the horn button/control itself.

How to replace horn on suzuki esteem 2000

http://www.autobarn.net/wol336.html
The horn in located below the right side (passenger side) headlight. What you need to do is get a 9/32 socket or something this size, and remove the covering from under the engine compartment. So, lay down on the ground remover the (black ground cover which keeps debris from heading to the engine area) located between the tire and headlight. Once that is off suprise there is the horn.............beep beep

the horn is behind the front bumper or grille somewhere. the relay is probably behind the dash inside the vehicle. when you push the horn do you hear a ticking noise? if you do, follow the ticking noise to find the relay.(it makes the noise)if it makes the noise, it probably works and you should check the wire connection to the horn unit. it looks like a nautilus, sort of a coil resulting in one open end, pointing down.it is abou the size of your hand. if it does not make a noise it would probably be your horn fuse or your switch look at the link www.auto barn

Horn makes a clicking noise when i push the horn switch, but does not make a honk noise, what can be the problem?

The horn relay is faulty or the horn is dead.Try tapping on the horn while someone is holding in the horn button,if that make the horn work the it's the horn,if not, change the relay.

Horn not grounded?

the clicking noise is the horn relay, this means in most cases the horn is defective and should be replaced.
