There's been a lot of issues with the A/C of that particular model depending on year.
You're looking at $400 (give or take a few hundred) for them to test for leaks, replace minor parts and / or recharge your A/C.
It can cost $1000 (give or take a few hundred) for more extensive repairs
On some years, there's also been issues of corroded electrical connector under the driver's seat that can cause hard starting, stalling, and improper fuel gauge readings. There's also the issue with some years where the brake pads don't return properly and stay partially engaged causing overheating and premature wear

as on any engine the freeze plugs are located along the sides of the lower engine block They look like large 1/2" to 1" brass or silver concave disks pressed into the engine block. They protect the block from cracking by poping out when the block coolant freezes.

whats a chevy ventura looking like ?? iam a europeon mechanic and never seen one to be honest but if you look around the head you will find the core plugs at the back front and sides where the molten metal is poured into the sand mould and the aperatures let the air out and the sand mould after it has cooled
