Just remove the front seat, mid console box, and door plastic trims. If everything is taken off, you are ready to put the new carpet.

Check all the light in the car, one must be on. Check the sun visor lights first. Others include under-hood light, trunk lights and interior lights that come on by themselves due to faulty switches. Other reasons are a bad diode in the alternator, disconnect it and see what happens..
If you are driving the car and it wont start after driving awhile. Do a wiggle on the CKP (crank position sensor) this sensor is located at the front main engine pulley, I am seeing a lot of loose male to female connection shut car off.
Remove distributor cap (and inspect interior terminals), lift off rotor and replace. Not much to it - unless there are details you've omitted here...? best regards., Ck
try turning hazards on off n see that makes a difference if so u need new hazard because ur turnsignals are routed through that switch... if not most likely the turn signal stock is bad if playin with hazard switch doesnt change anything
Sounds like it is going off track whenever it gets to the popping sound point. Or its catching against something, Check to see if anything could be in the tracks of the sunroof. Hope this helps, James Booth. Let me know what happens
I can't see it being a problem. SS was basically just an option on a platform for all Monte Carlos.Everything from an SS should bolt on or in, depending on how far you go with it. Hope this helps.
try contacting the dealer.I did this about 10 years ago with an 85
nissian 300zx and they sent me new carpet and it fit perfect. Also try
contacting auto part stores. You private small auto parts store usually know more. Also check into restoring car websites.

If it's not the heater core it could be that your carpet is saturated with moisture.I have a 1985 Monte Carlo SS and I had the same issue. I removed the carpet and found that it was wet underneath due to a leak in the door seal. You may have some luck by putting a heater in it with the windows open a bit to let the moisture out. Or try putting a De-humidifier in it for a night or two and see how much water is collected.
