Is there any kind of cam shaft position sensor on a 1995 geo przim 1.6 L4 engine, there is one on the 1.8, but i cant find it on the 1.6 . Engine wont start. I have fuel, spark, new distrib installed. Injectors have power to both terminals at all time when ignition is in run, book says only one terminal should have power at all times ... i would guess the other is the timing siginal for when the injector is suppose to allow fuel to pass into engine.

The ECM has a blown capacitor inside it for opening the injector you will most likly need to get it rebuilt, buy a new ,or used ECM had the same problem with my sidekick.

check all fuses real good with test ligh..i mean alll fuses.... next sounds like ignition switch might be bad... not supplying voltage to coil in crank position..but when let off cranking it returns back to run position it momentarily causes spark

2007 kia spectra code p0016 after engine warms up and cut off then started back up . wont come on cold start up .

cut off = engine stalls p0016(vvt failures) did you look this up first? in a real kia book?
spectra not spectra5
no engine size told. hummmm, 2.0L Automatic?
autozoned parts are junk, china cloned parts are.
so guessing and adding bad parts gets you where? double bad now.

BOOK words to follow

Trouble Code: P0016 (2.0L L4 VIN - Auto)
Crankshaft Position - Camshaft Position Correlation (Bank 1 Sensor A)and read this.
The CVVT (Continuously Variable Valve Timing) system is installed to the chain sprocket of the intake camshaft. This system controls the intake camshaft to provide the optimal valve timing. The PCM controls the Oil Control Valve(OCV), based on the signals output from mass air flow, throttle position and engine coolant temperature. The CVVT controller regulates the intake camshaft angle using oil pressure through the OCV. PCM monitors timing misalignment while no active faults are present and fully warmed up engine oil at idle. If the timing is misaligned PCM determines that a fault exists and a DTC is stored. Possible Causes:
  • * Oil level, pressure and condition
  • * OCV
  • * CVVT
  • * Timing mark alignment
note their words, 4 thing wrong, here, VVT is bad.

cam shaft sensor error is
Trouble Code: P0340 (2.0L L4 VIN - Auto)
Camshaft Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction and you never got that code,

Can you help me with the timing on isuzu 4jk 1 engine

I could explain to you how to mechanical time the engine .
The problem is the crank and cam shafts are driven by a rubber belt
When that belt wares out it is a ware part you lose the timing for the engine .
Both the crank shaft and the cam shaft have to spin at the same wright .This is what the crank shaft position sensor and the cam shaft sensor are all about .
You need a new belt

1995 GEO TRACKER ENGINE WITH CRANK SHAFT SENSOR HAS NO HOOK UP WITH MY OLD WIREING HARNESS

double posted. see other post.
you need to post what you had and and what you put in.
the 1995 has no crank sensor. sorry.
back one post and tell car getting fixed,
year and engine, and donor year and engines.

my wild guess, is new engine is 1995 but is it 8v or 16valves.
you must match the valves.!!~
the 8v is a one injector engine
the 16valve is 4 injectors ,and totally different ECU and wiring.

please id both engines.
is your car newer than the engine?
weve done this many times.

here is G16b for G16b drop. 1997. same for same
if had 95 G16b going to 97
id have swapped pans, oil pump and crank sensor.
onto new engine.

My land rover discovery 1 1995 won't start i get

You need a noid light for that but since they are all not firing it's most likely the cam shaft position sensor. That tells the computer the cam shaft position so it knows when to pulse each injector. Let me know if that's it. The cam shaft sensor should be pretty cheap.

95 GEO Metro starting problem . A code 42 appears. which is crank angle sensor, this car does not appear to have one. it turns over but no ignition.

42 is CAMSHAFT position sensor; its in the distibutor. Code 42 will set if there is no signal for 2 seconds. Resistance at the sensor terminals should be about 205-255 ohms. There should be a small AC voltage present at the terminals if the engine is turned; .1 to .4 volts. Air gap between rotor ridge and sensor ridge .008 to .016. Cam is belt-driven, is belt good?
