1995 jeep grand cherokee laredo air conditioning r134a recharge help air is on full, compressor kicks in, gauge hooked to low pressure valve. Doesn't seem to want to take the r134a.
If the compressor kicks on then it may not need gas, you may have another problem, caution dont blow up can or system, if the can is connected to low side and the compressor is running then it should take the freon.
Over filling R134 will cause low a/c performance.
first of all you failed to tell the full story!
how did you get to this point.?
New parts added.?
it just died one day.?
or you measured the pressure and is zero?
or the Hi/low switch tripped? (hi/low r134a switch)
new compressor.?
what?
if not touched before (event), tell the symptoms first.
then ask what to do.
Check the Schrader valve the fill hose is connected to and be sure it is not stuck closed. You can do that by removing the fill hose and pushing down on the valve. It works the same as valve stem in a tire does. If the sys. has Freon it should come out of the valve when you push on it. Make sure you actuator motor inside is letting the door switch over to let the cool air come through the vents.
