If it's quiet enough, turn the key to the "on" position without cranking it, then stop and listen for a humming or buzzing sound. If you don't hear it, your fuel pump may be having issues.

Yes,it's probably the blower motor resistor it should be on the passenger side under dash on the heater box, probably mounted with two screws and has plug in connection, as far as the temperature guage I would check to be sure that the radiator fans are coming on when the temperature that controls them is reached, also check fuses.

I suggest you ask your local repairer to carry out a block test that uses a chemical that changes colour when it comes into contact with combustion gas.
I have a really bad oil leak on a subaru impreza estate ej20 lump 1995
Is the oil pouring on the ground as you add oil? If yes, the oil drain plug could be missing, or installed loosely; the oil pan could be damaged, the oil pan gasket could be broken or missing, the oil dipstick pipe could be loose where it meets the engine. Are you a first time car owner? Have you overfilled the engine with oil perhaps?
2008 subaru impreza we changed the timing belt and
My first guess would be that the timing belt is off a tooth or two on the cam sprockets. It's easy to get wrong if you don't follow the EXACT installation sequence. The usual cause it not clamping the belt on to the cam sprockets (use a paper clip, clothes peg or small vice grips) while you install the belt around the idler bearings and tensioner. Ensure you fit the pin on the compressed tensioner, and only remove it once the belt is installed. Then, manually turn the engine round and VERIFY that the timing marks still line up before attempting to start the engine.
