Please help! I have a 1999 grand am that when I start it the vowls rattle really bad and when I pull it in gear it dies....any advice on what it could be will be greatly appreciated.

This may not be valve noise, either you are lethally low on oil pressure because of inadequate oil or the oil pump may have failed.
If it is that loud, it is more likely connecting rod knock.

You need a tech to check before even trying to start it again, you could destroy the engine if you try restarting it several times before some things are checked first..

want to know where my fuel filter is on my 1988 chevy s10?

Follow the fuel lines underneath your vehicle. Most Chevy products have an in-line fuel filter canister along the fuel lines mounted to the frame or undercarriage. If there is, your local auto parts store will list the fuel filter replacement number in their filter guide book.

how to change a blown head gasket on a mitsubishi 4x4 4d56

My advice to you if you have no experience you should have an auto tech handle this because even us as tech sometimes forget about things and no matter how much I guide you through this, It's very hard but yet again I'm trying to look out for you. lets just say something goes wrong then you will have to pay tow truck fee and it will be double. just shop around but you don't have to take my advice I'm just trying to help. Have a nice day buddy.
