Tip & How-To about BMW 545

Hard to install spark plugs are a bit discouraging especially when you are trying to do the job yourself and save the most amount of auto maintanence repair bills you can, hard enough doing this, you encounter at least one if not more spark plugs that just seem to be too hard to get your socket and ratchet on for either removal or worse yet, you have it out and can't get the new plug back in.....WHAT DO YOU DO NOW........ case solved, always have available a length of vacuumn hose bought from your local Auto Zone or the like...bring a spark plug into the parts store and ask the folks to get you a size that fits real tight on the spark plug tip, once found buy at least a 6" lenght of it, you will be amazed how nice this works....it is like owning your own "Snap On" Speciality Flex Socket for difficult spark plug installations, great to get the spark plug threads started as well as it eliminates the worry of stripping the threads if the plug is installed cross threaded by means of starting it with a non forgiving steel socket, whether it be flexible or rigid. Hope this helps you, I know for many years this little bit of advice has saved me time and time is money!!! Have Fun!!!!

Can I use iridium spark plugs on my GA13 Engine (Nissan Sentra B13 body, 1995? Which is better, iridium or platinum spark plugs?

As far as I know, iridium spark plugs are built to run 100,000 miles. They were made for hard to install cars, like minivans and some new cars like the Nissan Versa.
I wouldn't recommend it, since it will do the same job as the platinum spark plugs, plus you'll be saving a ton of cash, iridium spark plugs could go up as $34.00 each.

oil around the spark plugs

This is likely your spark plug tube seals. They come with valve cover gaskets because you will need to replace both in a job. You should also probably replace the spark plugs themselves, as the ends are probably fouled.

If you are interested in doing this job yourself, I would suggest going down to your auto parts store of choice and purchasing a repair manual for your car. Haynes is the book of choice, typically. It will show you pictures of the valve cover being removed.

labor cost to repair spark plugs on 2002 Mazda

It is what it is. If it was easy, you would do it yourself. That a avg price for that job. Be sure they use the correct NGK Platinum spark plug.

I cannot remove the dashboard components from my 2001 Jeep cherokee laredo to get to the heater core and evaporator.

this is not an easy job the steering column needs to be lowered ,passenger side airbag removed, center console removed, and if you are like me i don,t like being crowded so i opt to remove front seats before doing this job for added room when laying on back trying to remove nearly impossible hidden bolts and screws behind dash shell i guess what i,m trying to say is i have done around 50 or more of these at work in a shop enviroment with 25 plus years as mechanic and it,s difficult but not impossible i have been asked how to do numerous times and tell friends look this is one of those things that you would do yourself a favor buy paying a reputable auto shop to repair this without training and right info and tools you can cost yourself some serious expensive money quickly i,m not trying to discourage just save you some heartache not knowing alot about your sitiuation this is my best advice
