Tip & How-To about Ford Crown Victoria
This is a quick and easy way to save you a lot of time and money if you have ever had a dissasterous ink spill on a velour type durable fabric, such as what I experienced in a car Dealership years ago, my new car get ready man sat in a brand new vehicle that had velour seats and forgot he had a pen in his back pocket, when he sat down in the cars seat the pen opened up staining the seat and his uniform real bad!!
Here is what I did.....
we got a lot of plain clean white cotton rags, and a couple of aerosol, cans of "Brake Cleaner" any brand that is the cheapest in price, spray the affected area and blot with a clean rag, use this proceedure over and over until you start to see the stain lifting out off the seat fabric, you know hwen you are done as the last blotting will result in a clean white rag and an impeccably cleaned seat fabric, the only thing that is left behind is a smell from the brake cleaner, let the car air out using a fan and all doors/windows open and after the seat drys use a scented spray on the repaired area, that will not restain the seat cushion again.
The smell will be gone after a couple of days and a little venting of the interior. $10.00 of aerosol cans and white rags versus a t least a couple of hundred dollars in an ordered replacement seat cushion, plus labor.
Have Fun!!!
