Why is the indicator ac light blinking?

What kind of vehicle? It means have your ac inspected. On Toyotas, It is a fail-safe mechanism. The compressor speed and the engine speed are not in unison. So the magnetic clutch dissengages so the compressor doesn't lock down. This can be caused by the serpentine belt slipping, or the magnetic ac clutch relay in the fuse box, or the ac revolution sensor on the side of the compressor. It could also indicate that the compressor itself is going bad. More than likely it the revolution sensor going bad or it is low on compressor oil and freon

2002 camry ac lite flashes /will nt cool

Hello. You have posted a great question here, one that other Camry owners may also have. The solutions is as follows:

You have a very common issue.

More than likely, you have a bad AC magnet clutch relay.

Toyota is aware of a high failure rate from these relays, and has issued a technical sevice bulletin regarding this.

You need to replace the AC relay, with the updated relay.
The old relay part number is: 90987-02022.
The updated relay's Toyota part number is: 90987-02028

Replace the relay, and you problem will be cured.

My 03 celica ac indicator light flashes continuously. I was told by the dealer that I have a bad ac relay inside the dash and the dash would have to be disassembled to have it replace. Since most relays are located under the hood or in an accessible compartment inside the car where within the dash would is it located

Contrary to what your dealer is telling you, the relay is in the relay box under the hood. Look for the 'AC MG Clutch relay'.

Replace the relay, and you problem will be cured.
