Tip & How-To about Lexus ES 300

Replace Turn Signal Bulb

If you look straight up inside the bumper you will see the plug that holds the bulb just twist and it will come out.

  1. Open the hood and remove the plastic clips that hold the front plastic splash guard in place. This is done by pushing on the center of the plastic buttons to depress them slightly. The button (clip) can then be removed. For the buttons (clips) with the philips head center, lift the philips head center until you hear a click and then remove the whole clip.
  2. Remove the plastic splash guard.
  3. Remove the three 10mm bolts that hold the lens assembly to the fender.
  4. On the fender side of the lamp assembly there is a plastic clip that is inserted in a small flange which is part of the fender. Use a flat screwdriver to put pressure on the back of the post that protrudes through this clip. This post, that is part of the lamp assembly, helps to hold the assemble in the correct position. Once that post is free of the clip the lens assembly can easily be removed.
  5. Un-clip the wires to the main headlights and the the parking/turn signal lamp and remove the lens assembly from the vehicle.
  6. In the case of a fast blinking turn signal, remove the turn signal bulb, test to be sure it is good, and clean the contacts of the blub, bulb holder, and the printed circuit strip on the lamp assembly.
  7. Reassemble everything and test.
  8. Replace the lamp assemble in the fender and secure the splash guard with the clips.
  9. This should be about a 1/2 hour job.

how do you get the headlight bulb out of a 2004 concord

you need to take out the bumper cover to either change the headlights or light bulbs
it should not take you more than 20 minutes you will notice there are few plastic clips
from the top that hold the bumper cover when you open the hood and than there are
plastic clips that you take out on both sides of the bumper cover by the wheels you
will notice them when you face the wheel of the car once you pull them out there will be one nut that needs to be unscrewed deep inside the cover straight ahead it is metal so you can't miss it and a plastic clip in the middle that you pull down from the bottom just half way down once you've done both sides the bumper cover slides out
to make it easier turn the steering wheel all the way to one side and than the other side as you will remove the hole bumper cover that will give you space to stick your
hand inside as you remove the nut and clip from inside the cover

how to change front headlite on 2002 kia rio

Open the hood and locate the three bolts that hold the headlight unit in.
Use a 10mm socket and remove the bolts.
Now comes the only tricky part. You must pull the whole assembly straight out towards you with a ****. This will release the one attaching clip that is not visible. Don't try to pry the unit out you will just scratch the car or the lens. No he-man stuff either; you don't want to rip the wires out. A good straight tug should pop it loose.
Two wires only hold the light in at this point.
Next twist counterclockwise the turn signal socket and remove the bulb.
Now push the locking tab on the other wire/ socket and pull it out.
You should have the complete assembly in your hands.
On the back is a big round cap. Notice which way it fits. Turn it counter clockwise and it will come out.
Inside is the bulb. It's held in with a spring clip. Push the clip down and out from under it's holder and swing it up and out of the way.
Pull the old bulb out. Remove the wire plug by pulling it straight out, don't twist it.
