How To Replace A Blower Motor In A 2005 Chevy Trailblazer

Under the passenger side of the dashboard, remove the three 7mm bolts holding the lower plastic cover from the dashboard. Drop down the plastic cover and you will see a square box and 2 or 3 plugs holding to the cover. Unbolt the control box mounted to that cover and the 3 harnesses of wires attached to it, and move them up and out of the way. Look up towards the front corner, the motor is bolted up into the heater box. There are 3 small metric bolts, 4.5mm, I believe, remove those bolts, disconnect the electrical connection to the motor and remove motor. Check the motor electrical connector for any burnt over overheated wires. Alot of these trucks' original connector plug had too small of wiring, causing the power wire to get hot and melt the wire insulation and the plug it's self. The 7 wire plug from the Chevy Dealership is $67.00. You'll need to cut off the old plug and use the connectors supplied with the new plug to replace the old plug. I have seen the blower motor cut off going over a bump, and then come back on after hitting another bump, due to the fact that the individual connector gets hot and melts into the plug. You may also want to look at the blower motor resistor which is mounted right next to the blower motor, sometimes the blower motor resistor will go out altogether, not powering the blower motor, or not allowing the motor to run at a selected speed.

where is the fuse box on a 1997 Oldsmobile 88?

I assume the fuse box locations for a 1997 Olds 88 would be the same as for a 1999 - which are: (1) In the lower cover panel below the instrument cluster just left of the steering column - with a snap-off cover. (2) Passenger side 'kick panel' - side panel under the dashboard just forward of the door - lower cover panel underneath the dashboard and next to the firewall must first be removed. (3) Under the hood on passenger side on the firewall - need to remove black plastic outer cover (1/4 turn finger latches) then two black plastic inner covers (side spring latches).

Remove lower kick panel passenger side, blower motor in inside heater case, very close to the passenger door, behind glove box. From under the glove box look up to find a circular bulge with 5 (7mm) bolts around it, remove the 2 wire connector (black and purple). Remove the five bolts, drop down the blower motor, transfe over cage if new one doesn't come with one, reverse to reassemble.

how do i remove mitsi gto gearbox

Remove air intake hoses to throttle body, remove battery tray, remove washer bottle attached to battery tray, remove clutch slave cylinder and compensator from the top of the tranny. Remove tranny gearchange control cables and hang up to one side.
Jack car up as high as you can and remove the wheels. DRAIN the gearbox (24mm not on bottom side).
Now go under the car and remove the starter motor, remove the exhaust front pipe (can unbolt from front CATs and let hang down), remove frame member and remove the plastic covers from the passenger side wheel well to get to the frame member. Remove the lower control arm bolts on both sides and let the control arms hang down. Disconnects both sway bars at the wheel hubs to allow the drive shafts to be pulled outwards. ease the drive shaft on passenger side out with pry bar and have someone pull on the hub to pop the drive shaft out. On the drivers side, you have to first remove the intermediate bracket on the block and then do the same thing with the drive shaft to pull it out.
Support the tranny with a jack.Remove the four bolts holding the tranny support bracket (covered with four grommets in passenger wheel well). Remove the three bolts from the top of the tranny and remove the bracket.

Now work your way around the tranny and remove the bolts holding it to the engine (there is a 10mm phillips screw/bolt holding a dirt sheild in place under the rear of the tranny, the other bolts are more obvious).

Tranny is now ready to be lowered to the floor using the floor jack.

Installation is the reverse of the above. Good Luck.
