radio display is blank

If the radio works then the tiny miniature bulbs inside the radio are burnt out a common problem in GM cars and trucks. You will need to remove the radio from the dash and then take the radio circuit board out of the chassis behind the front display and unsolder the bulbs from the circuit board they are hard wired to, the bulb number is Radio Shack Part #7219

Delco Radio displays and climate control displays remain dark, all GM

Not all correct... This is only current with half of less of the GM clusters and climate controls... Most now have a dimmer resistor pack in them that burn out or become loose

Bose radio light bulb replacement in 2003 Silverado

You have to open up the radio chassis, remove the front circuit panel faceplate (move out of the way)and remove the very tiny 12 light bulbs which are hard wired to the small control panel circuit board behind the radio display. VERY important, use a low temperature soldering pencil and a heat sink in each of the bulbs legs, DO NOT overheat the circuit boards are you will need to replace the radio. You can buy the bulbs from Radio Shack, the part number is 7219 which is a 12 volt 60ma wired terminal base miniature bulb.

The radio display lights in this Delco radio are tiny incandescent bulbs that are soldered to the front circuit board of the radio, the radio must be removed from the car, the radio chassis covers removed to expose circuit the boards and the bulbs replaced, they are burned out. This requires allot of skill and the right tools, a low temperature soldering pencil a solder suction gun and new bulbs, they are available from Radio Shack the part number is #7219 (12 volt 60ma)

how to replace 2002 radio light pont bonnieville and part number

Hello
I have repaired these burnt out display bulbs (3 of them) in GM Delco radio's, it is not a simple repair by any means, the radio must be removed from the car and then the radio chassis taken apart, the very tiny bulbs (size of a pencil point) are soldered to the front of the radio's main circuit board for the display, this job requires special pin point cordless low heat solder gun and a printed circuit board solder removal vacuum, The GM dealer does not service these bulbs, all they will do is remove the radio and send it out for repair to a GM radio repair center, if you do wish to attempt the replacement of the display bulbs they are a 12 volt 60ma, you will need 3 for the display, you can buy them from Radio Shack, the Radio Shack part # is #7219. You can also remove the Radio and send it in yourself for replacement of the display bulbs, this is what I recommend, if you damage the circuit board by applying to much heat the radio is so much junk.
