1998 f150 ford wipe linkage

I had a similar problem the plastic in front of the windshield is the cowl. to remove it I had to pop plastic cover over nuts holding wiper arms. remove them then remove all the screws and two plastic pop retainers and a rubber strip and a number of slide on clips to remove the two piece cowl then remove the electrical plug on the motor and three hex head screws holding the assembly in place (if you extend the linkage toward passenger side it will be easier to remove the assembly) you can get
