how to manually reset computer codes on 2002 dodge neon SXT

You clear the codes with a code reader or scan tool. If the light came back on in two days with the same code the same problem came back.

How do you remove/replace the AC belt? There are a lot how to's for serpentine replacement but none that tell you how to remove the AC belt which has to come off first.

loosen the center bolt of the a/c idle pulley, then on top of pulley you will see the adjusting bolt, turn to loosen to remove belt, after new belt , tighten to where you have 1/2 play on elt then tighten center nut of pulley

my1998 dodge neon speedometer works every now and then why?

I had this problem and nobody could figure out the why. After searching on the internet, I found the problem was coused by soldering issues on the circuit board for the gauges. My husband was able to resolder according to the instructions on a web page found at Neon.org. Search for speedometer and use 1st gen for the forum to search. This will bring results regarding fuses and resoldering. Unfortunately, the resoldering that was done only lasted about a year.

i have 2005 neon sxt keep having code po457 evap emmission loose cap /off replaced cap from chrysler ck eng light comes back on same code anybody have any suggestions

fuel cap is just one of the causes. Here are 2 others:
  • possible vacuum leak
  • NVLD switch is stuck or malfunctioning
NVLD switch communicates with your car's computer. A bad switch will throw a P0457 error code. Check for a vacuum leak 1st but if none is found, the NVLD switch should be changed.
Below is a link that explains more thoroughly what the module does; I do wish you the best of luck with your Neon and hope you found this information helpful. Take care!
