My 2004 Chevrolet Ventura van Will not start
Hi,
this could be due to a bad starter, battery, inverter or something else. Please get a jumpstart and take your car to the nearest autozone so they can give your car a free diagnostic scan which will print out a list of all of it's issues. Thank you.
1988 Chevrolet truck cranks up but doesn't stay running
lots of causes and tests.
so it does start/run,
but not told is can you keep it running with fast right foot actions?
3causes, common, (not engine bad,)
spark dies. (spark plugs wire set, rotor cap and or whole dizzy.
lean fuel, PFR bad. low fuel pressure
to rich fuel floods and stalls, same as above FPR bad.
a tech has tools to test all that, every bit. in fact.
no tools means wild guessing and even adding more bad parts.
a timing light would show spark dies on all cylinders tested
using WOT cranking to clear food
also BAd FUEL OR A TANK FULL OF RUST, SEEN ON ALL 88 CARS IF COULD SEE THEM ALL.,
INJECTORS LOVE TO CLOG IF BAD FUEL OR RUST IN THE TANK.
WHEN DID TRUCK RUN RIGHT, LAST DECADE? HISTORY MATTERS HUGE ON OLD CARS.
2003 Chevrolet Venture 3.4 will not start?
Not seeing the vehicle I can only suggest so we can work together and fix it. It sounds to me like a fuel problem first check your fuses, all good the go to the fuel tank and see if you can find the wires going to the tank. If you can find them then check wire with test light. The rule of thumb is if you have fire fuel and compression it should run. One thing you need to check first after the fuses I remember there is a fuel pump relay in the glovebox on the left behind a little panel it is know to be bad try it very common Good Luck.
P1516 code on a 2006 Chevrolet aveo ls
Hi there, the TAC is located at the end of the wiring harness that connects to your throttle body. To find that, follow the air intake tubes from the air filter box toward the engine. The wiring harness connected to throttle body should be self evident.
Good luck.
What would cause my 2005 Chevrolet Equinox to build pressure in the hoses.
Hoses ARE hard because they are thick rubber and also reinforced if good quality hoses. Also they are under pressure of the heated water.
If the system is overheating, it may be due to airlocks. Did you correctly burp the system of air after replacing the thermostat? I wrote a Tip about it as yours is a common problem after draining.
GM Passlock Security System
Many FixYa posts are asking for ways to bypass the security system and immobilizer. This is what you are up against and explains how the system works. Thanks to our FixYa Professional Vehicle Electronics Wizard Jeff Armer for the factory explanation.
Passlock™ System
The Passlock™ System is provided in order to prevent vehicle theft if the ignition lock cylinder is forced to rotate or the ignition switch is operated while separated from the ignition lock cylinder case. If starting is attempted without authorization from the Passlock™ System, the powertrain control module (PCM) will disable engine starting. Start disable may be in the form of fuel disable or starter disable, depending on engine application.
The components of the Passlock™ System are as follows:
• The ignition lock cylinder and key
• The ignition lock cylinder case, including the Passlock™ sensor
• The ignition switch
• The body control module (BCM)
• The security indicator on the instrument cluster
• The powertrain control module (PCM)
Ignition Lock Cylinder Case, Including the Passlock™ Sensor
The ignition lock cylinder fits inside the ignition lock cylinder case and operates the ignition switch when turned by a key with the proper mechanical cut. When the ignition key is used to turn the ignition lock cylinder to crank, start, a magnet on the lock cylinder passes close to the Passlock™ sensor within the ignition lock cylinder case. The magnet activates the security hall effect sensor in the Passlock™ sensor which completes a circuit from the security sensor signal circuit through a resistor to the security sensor low reference circuit. The resistance value will vary from vehicle to vehicle.
If a magnet from outside of the ignition lock cylinder case is used to attempt to steal the vehicle, the tamper hall effect sensor will be activated. This completes a circuit from the security sensor signal circuit through a tamper resistor to the security sensor low reference circuit bypassing the security resistor. If the ignition switch is forced to rotate without the correct key, or if the ignition lock cylinder is removed by force, the Passlock™ sensor will be damaged and will not operate.
May forums suggest connecting a resister into the transponder receiver circuit, but jumping a 2200 ohms resistor into the wiring of the pass-lock system will do nothing.
What is the problem for the fault code P0601-00. Please advise a solution
P1600 PCM Battery/Serial Communication Between PCM & TCM P1601 Loss of Serial Communication (Except Catera)/ ECM Overtemperature..... Sorry i just dont have product knowledge to advise , You could try checking battery voltage with engine running and it should read 14.7 volts give or take a bit , if not showing this voltage then you may need a new altenator .. if voltage low then yes you will get problems like this ..

A GM Chevy GEO tracker is Suzuki Vitara. not told by you he problem or where it he drive-train or brake system ???? please name a problem. no engine told. my guess v6. H25 , nor transmissions.1.6 L L01 I4 (G16B Suzuki actual)2.0 L J20A I4 130 hp2.5 L H25A V6 155 hpthe word Orifice is mostly told in the contexts of these subjects below.1: engine head, orifice to limit cam gallery feed oil to cam.2: AC air conditioning HVAC expansion valve ,as a spray orifice inside.3: brake ABS modulators.4: A/T automatic transmission has many. (vast)5: fuel injectors are kind of modulated ORIFICE6: crankshaft gallery feed orifices.surely more can be found, but no clue me the problem.I have the full set of manuals and endless data on some like G16 engines. just ask, and all 3 + transmissions.
Where is the Chimes module located on a 1999 Chevrolet Lumina
Audible Warnings Description
The seatbelt/ ignition key/ lamps alarm provides an audible warning for the following signals:
• The fasten seat belt reminder
• The key in the ignition reminder
• The headlamps ON reminder
Seat Belt/ Ignition Key/ Lamps (Warning) Alarm
Behind the instrument panel, on the right side of the A/C module
Looks like it has several connectors to it, just pull the one connector to stop the chime (warning) your hearing. Assume you have one on all the time? annoying isn't it .
