How do I change the transmission strainer in a 2005 Ford escape 4 cylinder

The CD4E transmission filter is considered nonserviceable. It would require the transmission to be removed and split.

A drain and refresh is the recommended maintenance. See FordTechMakuloco...

REAR WIPER ON 08 FORD FIESTA STICKING CAN HEAR MOTOR WORKING

If you can hear the rear wiper motor working but the wiper is sticking and not moving properly, there are several potential reasons for this issue. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the problem:
  1. Check for Obstructions: Inspect the area around the rear wiper blade for any obstructions or debris that might be preventing smooth movement. Clear away any leaves, twigs, or other materials that could be hindering the wiper's motion.
  2. Wiper Arm and Blade Inspection: Examine the rear wiper arm and blade for any damage or signs of wear. A damaged wiper arm or blade might be causing the sticking issue. If there are visible issues, consider replacing the wiper blade assembly.
  3. Lubricate the Wiper Mechanism: Apply a silicone-based lubricant to the wiper pivot points and joints. This can help reduce friction and facilitate smoother movement. Be cautious not to use excessive lubricant, as it may attract more dirt and debris.
  4. Check Wiper Motor Linkage: The wiper motor is connected to the wiper arm by a linkage. Check the linkage for any loose or damaged connections. If the linkage is damaged, it may need to be repaired or replaced.
  5. Inspect Wiper Motor Operation: With the rear wiper turned on, observe the movement of the wiper motor linkage. If the motor is working but the linkage isn't moving correctly, there may be an issue with the linkage assembly.
  6. Wiper Motor Replacement: If all else fails and the problem persists, the wiper motor itself may be faulty. In such cases, replacing the wiper motor may be necessary.
  7. Professional Inspection: If you are unable to identify and resolve the issue on your own, or if the problem is related to internal components, it may be best to seek professional assistance. A mechanic or automotive technician can perform a more detailed inspection and provide a more accurate diagnosis.
Remember to exercise caution when working around moving parts and electrical components. If you're unsure or uncomfortable performing these steps, it's advisable to consult with a professional mechanic or take your vehicle to an authorized service center for further assistance.

Dome light not coming on

Pretty sure the door switch is built into the door latch. You might try some contact cleaner, but with the switch being inside of the latch, you usually have to replace the latch to get it to working again.

My 2005 ford explorer sport trac will start but sputters and dies

One possible reason is a clogged fuel filter. You can check the fuel filter by blowing air through the "in" end. If no or little air is coming through, then you should replace the filter. See "Long Hard Start" on this web page: Common Ford Explorer Sport Trac Problems - 2001 to 2005 - 1A Auto

Locating the code 2084 on my 2008 fordf350 super duty dually

P2084 means there is an issue with the exhaust gas temperature sensor. Bank 1 sensor 2. P0741 means Torque Converter Clutch Circuit Performance/Stuck Off. Two totally unrelated issues. Your testing must measure the voltage from the sensor and a possible replacement torque convertor may be needed.

2010 Ford XLT Sport trac.

There isn't one and you can't install LED bulbs because the Smart Junction Box doesn't understand the signals coming back from the LED control module on the 5 volt computer network. Having said that, Ford would like to sell you one. Hopefully our Electronics Tech @Jeff Armer will be along to confirm https://parts.lakelandford.com/p/Ford_2010_Explorer-Sport-Trac/Flasher-Relay/51547093/5L5Z13350AA.html When I searched to check, I found this on a forum Can't find the flasher ......... not one. The SJB (Smart Junction Box, which BTW turns a lot of us into dummies ) controls the flash....and a myriad of other functions. Complicates a lot of modifications since it senses power input/output to control various functions. No, I don't completely understand it's operation...... I have no suggestion. Maybe someone with more knowledge of this system will be able to help you. All the turn lamps are wired to the SJB. The timed on/off cycle is determined by the SJB and is set to flash approximately 80 times per minute if both the front and rear turn lamps operate correctly. If only an individual turn signal lamp operates, the SJB flashes the remaining turn lamp approximately 160 times per minute for bulb outage indication. What the torque sequence and spec for a 1998 Ford Ranger 2.5 L gasoline head bolts? not 2.5 diesel

The torque sequence and specifications for the cylinder head bolts on a 1998 Ford Ranger 2.5L gasoline engine are as follows:
  1. Tighten all bolts in the sequence shown below to 22 ft-lbs (30 Nm).8 4 1 5 \ ' / ' / 7 3 2 6
  2. Tighten all bolts in the same sequence to 45 ft-lbs (61 Nm).
  3. Tighten all bolts in the same sequence an additional 90 degrees (1/4 turn).
  4. Tighten all bolts in the same sequence an additional 90 degrees (1/4 turn) again.
Ensure that you follow the sequence and torque values precisely to prevent uneven tightening and potential head gasket issues. It's also crucial to use a good quality torque wrench for accuracy. Please note that torque specifications may vary slightly depending on the specific engine build, so it's always a good idea to consult your vehicle's service manual for the most accurate information for your particular engine.
