No one can tell you what is wrong with your vehicle

You have to have a dealer or repair shop access
the on board systems, as I would think you are aware
of & have many times had done on several vehicles
over the years

The Vehicle Stability Control & other items are
obviously not functioning correctly

When you say stays on ,all I can tell you is, that any
check lamp,Mil Lamp or anything that isn't normal,
is a system fault & should be checked for codes in
no more than 3 days,then diagnosed & repaired within
a week or stop using any vehicle,before possible
damage & expense occurs

You should have & read an owners manual

to spend money on one

Remove the contents of your glove box, and open it fully by pressing inward on the middle at both outer sides. Drop the box door down. Look into the dash area. You will see the tray that holds the Cabin Air Filter.

Hissing sound indicates booster diaphragm has torn. Please let me know if you would like instructions for replacing the booster.

Yea it is hard to remove, you will need a extra long 10mm socket, open access door behind tailligth and remove 4 10mm nuts. becarefu not to drop them it will be so hard to retreave.

Unusual for Toyota, have you checked your oil level? If it is a loud knocking, it could be a bad piston in the engine. Did you overheat the car at any point? The alloy head can warp easily if you get the engine too hot. Also check your coolant level to see if you are losing fluid. If the oil is white looking you have a serious issue with coolant mixing with the oil. Is it still under warranty for the powertrain, engine, transmission etc.?

Engine Coolent Tempreature. Make sure that the radiator is full, check only when eng is cold. If rad is full then you might need to replace the thermostat as your engine tempreature is either too low or too high.

Hey Doug ! I hope you're recovering fast and I wish you good health! Coming back to your problem ! Well I'll show you the link where you can find the electrical wiring on your RAV4 ! The diagram is of f a RAV4 but a 2003 Model ! As the manufacturer hasn't changed much of the electrical wiring layout, you won't find much difference in the two !

A19 is the driver's Airbag connection. You could easily lead up to the fuse board and disconnect it.

1999 Rav4 has a 2-Wheel drive option. If you have 4-Wheel drive (check with dealer) there is no need to set it to 4-Wheel drive as the 4-Wheel drive mode is controled by the Powertrain Control Module (On-Board Computer) as needed.

what do you mean by java eror

i dont have a picture of this but the latch may be stuck in the closed position. using a small screw driver open the glove box and lift the latch that opens it while still pulling out on the handle take your screw driver and pop open the latch from the inside of the door this should free it up and allow you to close it again. hope this helps

Hi, If this the first time happen to your car, the problem is on your starter. Check the starter including relay/solenoid for malfunction and replace it if defective.
