Why Pius "initializing" after 12V reconnect?
There are some systems which are kept alive as long as the auxiliary battery is connected. If the battery is disconnected the idle speed control valve learning value will be initialized and symptoms like loud rattle from the hybrid trans axle assembly could be heard.
Always perform the idle speed learning procedure if the auxiliary battery is disconnected for any reason.
Why is my 2008 prius not starting?
It could be your battery. You could jump your car, and then have the car taken to a local shop to be diagnosed. Replacing the battery could be a costly repair, depending on the battery. Good luck.
Warning lights came on
may just be a coincidence that the brake warning light came on after the oil change . have you checked the brake fluid level ,if low check the brake pads, if not low check for leaks
How to disable Prius back up beep
This is a pretty easy fix.
1. Keep you foot on the break and turn the car on.
2. Press the odometer/trip button until your dash displays the odometer mileage.
3. Turn the car off and while keeping your foot on the break, restart the car by pressing the on button.
4. Immediately press and hold down the Odometer/trip button for at least 10 seconds.
5. While still holding down the Odometer/trip button put the car in reverse. You will hear the reverse beeping. Then push the park button.
6. You can now release the Odometer/trip button and if you keep pushing the button you can toggle the beep to come on or turn off by looking on your dash. It should say "b-on" or "b-off".
7. Toggle it to the "b-off" setting and put your car in reverse and that annoying beep should be turned off.
Where is the fog light switch located on prius 08
I'm assuming that you have the factory fog lights on a NHW20 (2004-2009) Prius. In the US 2004 Owner's Manual, it is listed in Section 2-4, "Operation of Instruments and Controls,""Lights, Wipers and Defogger,""Front Fog Lights,"
