Won't go into gear

I'm assuming that "won't go into gear" means that you cannot move the shift lever, as though it is locked. Are the brake lights working? If not, check the brake light circuit fuse AND the brake light switch. (If the brake light circuit does not work, the shift lever release does not work.) If the brake lights ARE working, you must figure out what is jammed in the mechanism. Although it is possible that the lock solenoid has burned out, a jam in the mechanism around the lock solenoid is more likely. Best of luck to you!

I HAVE A 2005 DODGE 1500 4.7 TRUCK WITH 30.000 MILES WHEN SHOULD I CHANGE TRANMISSION FLUD AND REAR END OIL.

You might start by looking at the owner's manual. If you do not have it, download it here: http://justgivemethedamnmanual.com/dodge/dodge-ram-owners-manuals/. You have a 9 yr old vehicle with low mileage. Generally the rule is that if it has been through very heavy duty for its 30,000 miles, change oils ahead of the recommendation (maybe 25-33% ahead of the recommendation). Severity of operating environment and vehicle use should be the key, not so much age.

Brakes rattle

To your direct question - I don't know the Highlander model in detail, but as a general response, if the brakes are noisy when NOT applied, the piston in your new caliper may not be returning properly. The return spring in disc brakes is actually the rubber fitted around the caliper piston. If this is causing the piston to be wrongly positioned, the brakes will be noisy. Check that the rotor can be turned by hand when the brakes are not applied. Also check that the piston is not retracting from the pads a very long way, which it should not do.It is worth making very sure the spring clips are fitted correctly. Some can be easily put in the wrong way round. If the brakes are squealing when applied, that is a different problem. You can get a disc brake anti squeal liquid, which is applied to the back of the pad on assembly to the caliper. Also double check all the anti squeal shims are correctly installed. At this range, that's all I can think of right now.

Catalytic Converter Replacement Repair Cost

code p0420 refers to catalytic converter system bank 1 --efficiency below threshold ===causes -- catalytic converter ---wiring---HO2S 2 sensor The cheapest part to replace is the HO22S sensor so I would do that first. Bump the cat converter soundly with the heal of your hand and if it rattles it needs replacing as it will be cracked internally. Dismiss any tinny rattle as that will be the heat shield loose The time taken to replace both in an accredited shop will be less than 1 hour so it may pay to shop around and compare prices on the converter and labour costs.

I REPLACED THE MAF ON MY TOYOTA HIGHLANDER. AFTER 10 MINUTES THE MAF LIGHT CAME BACK ON. I CLEANED THE CARBS AND MAF. WORKED FINE FOR 10 MINUTES AND THEN THE LIGHT CAME BACK ON.

Could be something in the wiring instead of the sensor. Or a problem with the air intake hoses or a vac leak. You would need a scanner to read the sensor data to find out for sure. The 10 min delay is probably the time it takes the computer to run a full check.

Toyota highlander window opens by itself

You don't mention HOW she "puts the window back up" - does the power window work OK when raising or lowering the window. There may a short circuit causing the window motor to turn on. Let me know if the window operates normally sometimes; and whatever information or description you might have.
