2002 Toyota Corolla - Page 2 Questions & Answers
Hi my toyota corolla 2002 model heated so done the complete motor now any just swings. has a first initial spark then no sspark. Any ideas?
You treat it as if there was no spark at all. doesn't sound like the ignition coil, so it could be the ignitor (on American cars called the ignition control module, or ICM, but both are basically the coil control module-it controls the primary and secondary windings in the coil) . You can have the ignitor tested at most parts stores. If it is good, next suspect the crank position sensor. This sensor is used by the engine computer to determine spark firing and spark advance, so if bad, there won't be spark. Could be more to check, but start with those two. Usually one of them is bad, or the coil itself is bad.Have you checked for any fault codes with a scanner?
To whom it may Concern:
In the passenger compartment: The Fuse no.# 18 (15A) = rear brake lights
If the fuse no.# 18 - F18 (15A) is good, check and replace if necessary the brake pedal switch!

Emission VSV for Pressure Switching Valve is located in the engine bay on the side of air filter box. It is connected with one vacuum pipe coming out of the intake manifold and the other pipe is connected to the Charcoal Canister. It also has a wiring connector the two wires which go to the ECM.
Can I use eco/tech universal in tank electrical fuel pump in Toyota corolla 2002?
What engine is in it? As long as it fits properly in the sending unit assembly. and it has the proper pressure requirement I do not see why it would be a problem. As for me I would want to put the proper pump in it from the start. If you have the 1.8l engine I know a good pump will only run you about $60.00 to $100.00. And a cheap on only about $20.00. but I like to do the job only once so I go with the better pumps myself rockauto . com where I do a lot of my parts purchases.
I have a problem with the brake equaliser, back left brake is not operating at the same level as all other 3 brakes
Hi Fran:
There could also be a minor problem associated with the left rear brake. Have you confirmed that all of the components are clean, in good condition, and functioning properly? Is the brake "grabbing"? Find a safe location like a vacant parking lot. Hold the steering wheel very lightly and at low speed, apply the brakes. Try to determine from the steering wheel reaction what it is that the brakes are doing. You could also hold the steering wheel firmly, pointing straight ahead, and sharply apply the brakes at low speed. Try to let the car tell you where the problem is.
