MY CAR IS TICKING JUS

Can't see that hurting it no, but it sounds or may be your pins hitting the top pan covers, I took my truck in to a mechanic friend for the same problem and what he had tried and I'm sorry I can't remember what the stuff was called but it was really thick and after he poured a little bit in, told me to rev a bit and what it did was reset my heads again and the ticking went away. Sadly is a result of starting and driving right away without letting the engine and fluids warm up. A Lube expert should know what I'm on about. Taking it back and asking if they did put wrong Oil in it wouldn't hurt any and it's a good start to have them hopefully look it over and give it a shot of my super thick goop stuff (lol).good luck

Tail lights and license plate

Likely there is a short circuit in the bulb socket of one of the bulbs that does not turn on

Rear tail light does not

Check the wiring. You may have a hot wire that has bad insulation causing a short circuit. If you keep blowing fuses that is a good indicator of a bad hot wire. Also there are seperate fuses for the tail lights and the stop lights even though they are they same bulb with two different filaments. Post back any other symptoms you may come accross. Thank you for the question.

O2 sensors keep failing and

Are you sure it's 02 sensors? Just because code says 02 sensors doesn't necessarily mean they're bad. Bad 02 sensor code can also indicate bad cat. converter. If 02 sensors read exact same reading before and after converter they will trigger OBC to "sensor fault" - they should be reading 2 different readings. (Pre CAT/POST cat) I'd suggest replacing cat converter before replacing sensors.

Clicking and won't start. Only

Have you checked the ignition fuse Cindy? It may be that. Make sure the battery terminals are clean and the wires are connected good. Check to make sure the battery has a charge and can hold one. Check the wire that goes from the battery to the starter. It may be the solenoid in the starter or the starter itself. If you have a question, let me know. I am here to help you. Thank you Cindy for using FixYa.

I my daughter has a 1999 Toyota Solara The factory

On All Newer Toyota vehicles, the tachometer receives it's information directly from the ECU, or on board computer. This is a bit of a sticky problem, however, I would first disconnect the negative side of the battery cable from the battery and check and clean the electrical connection at the back of the instrument cluster in which the Tachometer is housed. and then I would check the connections to the ECU. If I recall, it is behind the glove box on most Toyotas. The after that I would reconnect the battery cable and test to see if it solves the problem. Have you read the error codes stored in the ECU? That might also give clues as to where the problem is originating.

My 2000 toyota solara's turn

The indicator fuse is usually shared with other circuits, check if anything else in not working, if so look for the fuse. There isn't a relay in the system, only the flasher unit and these can give trouble, but then so can the indicator switch.
The fuse will be in the main fuse box. The position of the fuses is normally marked on the inside of the fuse box cover and also in the owner's handbook. If you don't come right with these, work your way through the fuses looking for a blown one. To lessen your search the indicator fuse should be between 15 to 20 amps.

My girlfriend has a 1999

The interior of the fuse box has the same diagrams as would have been on the vehicles manual or user guide. Once opening the fuse box, lookk in the cover for the diagram. Second, a blown fuse is observable within the circuitry. Third, the vehicle should indicate within the dashboard what condition is occuring. For example, the vehicle should display indication warning on requesting lighting inspection or alternate.

Car overheats.....even just idling and no heat

No, Just a ratchet and socket set, flat tip screwdriver, pair of pliers, thermostat, gasket scraper, hose clamps, and gasket sealant(if you want to use it). Question for you: How old are your hoses? 3 years or older? If so, might as well change them also. Remove the top hose( helps to have it all out of the way), Its metric, about a #12 or #13 socket to remove the bolts holding the thermostat housing cover off. Remove that (STOP) turn it over and clean it down to metal (want no leaks), remove the old thermostat, (STOP) and lets clean the block also (no leaks) down to metal. Replace the thermostat, apply a think coat of sealant, place the gasket, on the housing, apply a thin coat of sealant. Replace the housing. bolt back down, and replace the hose ( always use new clamps, safety first). Let is sit about 30 minutes, allow the sealant to set, start the car let it warm up, and then top off the radiator. (adding fluid when the engine is hot, will put it to the correct level. Hope this helps.

1999 Toyota Solara V6 SLE has an engine misfire,

running lean bank one; suggest a bad 02 sensor on bank one, check engine light on? suppose so, or you would'nt have codes.may be a bad coil pack on bank one. it does'nt run without a backfire right? your best thing to do is this. check engine fire to plugs that supply fire to bank one,it may have a red fire to plugs on bank one side, but you need blue fire to plugs on bank one side.[the best spark to plugs will always be blue] you may only need to replace part of the engine coil pack, they will have numbers on them[coil pack] and which cylinders that they supply spark to. if i'm not mistaken, you will be looking from front of car, look on passenger side of motor for a bad spark plug, or may even be a worn spark plug wire, inspect your spark plug wires for a worn place where the wire is exposed to ground the spark from the spark plug. pull the spark plug out and check it for carbon build up also. for carbon build up, it will be covered with hard black substance. recommend if you do replace plugs, nepindenso, no ac plugs[cheap] no ac delso, cheap. the better the plug, the better the car runs with great mileage. hope this helps, merry christmas, and as always,if you need further assistance, please repost your question and an expert will be happy to assist!
