My 1998 Toyota Avalon XL is having a problem with the ignition. Ive tried to turn the key but it will not turn. Steering Wheel isnt locked but the ignition is. What do I need to do?

the tumblers in the key switch maybe worn and require replacement. the key tumbler assembly will come with an new key.

1998 toyota Avalon back door won't open from inside or out

The door panel has to be removed even if the seats have to be removed or the panel has to be destroyed. One thing that might help is to remove the panel from the opposite door so you can familiarise yourself with the geography of the door internals. It might then be possible to blindly manipulate the faulty door internals working through the gap created just by releasing the rear of the panel...

My 98 Avalon miss fire 6 cylinder is that bad

Do you have a P0306 misfire code? Remove the spark plug #6 and compare to the color charge below. Do a compression test on all cylinders and check the values. The highest and the lowest psi should be within 10%. Yes, there's a fuse box inside the hood for ac but there's one more in another fuse box inside the car for the ac control. Check the one inside first.

I have a 1998 Toyota Avalon XLs i changed the iac

It sounds like a classic case of an idle speed control motor sticking. If this problem happens when it is cold then does not do it until it sits and gets cold again this is probably the problem. The idle speed control motor is bolted to the bottom of the throttle body. Pay attention that throttle body needs to be removed to get it off.Hope helps.
