Seatbelt won't retract

The driver side seatbelt on my 2005 Corolla won't retract. Is there a way that I can rectify it myself without having to bring it to the dealer?

1)move the plastic cover over the seat belt out of the way to gain access to the two mounting bolts for the seat belt mechanism. Use a 10mm wrench and a 14mm wrench and remove the two bolts holding the seat belt mechanism to the body. Use a small drill bit or small screwdriver and make one hole in the plastic cover on each side of the seat belt mechanism (the covers say "do not remove plastic cover". Spray lots of wd40 in each hole. Then exercise the seat belt. When the mechanism allows the belt to be retracted, retract the belt all the way out and exercise the seat belt. Reinstall mechanism with both mounting screws in original position and put plastic cover back in place. Good luck. New seat belt costs $100.00 from dealer and are hard to find working in junk yards. I have fixed several of them this way.

wheel bearing replacement left front

wheel bearing replacement left front wheel Hello Everyone, I may need to replace the wheel bearing on my right front wheel of my Corolla wagon. How can I know for sure? And how can I find out how to do it? Wheel bearing replacement is not even mentioned in my Toyota Corolla 1996 Haynes Repair Manual.

Diagnosing the bearings can be tricky depending on severity of wear. Typically - drone noise at highway speeds, squeeling, clicking or grinding noises at low speeds that reduce during braking, or pull off the wheel and brake assembly and check the bearing for slack or smoothness of rotation by hand. While doing this, check the brake assembly thoroughly - generally a more likely culprit of wheel noise.

Wheel bearing replacement is not for the novice backyard mech. - you will need pullers, press, etc. If you can get a rebuilt assembly - much easier.

There is a starter relay inside the cabin. Fuse box is located on left panel down in driver's footwell . If it is still the original one it will be a light blue square fuse located at the very top of the panel and it will say starter relay.
