Clutchpedalstickstofloor
I assume that the clutch isn't releasing. I had an older pickup that the clutch master cylinder was leaking but the rubber boot was keeping the fluid from leaking out so you couldn't see it. Peek at the master and slave cylinders (peel the rubber cup back a bit to check for leaks) and see if that isn't your problem.
Lights go off when I step on the brake
I'm not familiar with Toyotas, but if they are like domestic vehicles that have the turn signal, dimmer switch, and maybe cruise control in the steering column, it would use one switch assembly for everything. When that switch assembly goes bad, it will cause all the symptoms that you listed. Even when you step on the brake, the power is still routed through that switch. If the battery was bad, or the charging system defective, it could act similar because there wouldn't be enough power for those items, but, before it got that bad your ignition would have failed and the car would quit and not start again. You didn't say anything about that, so I would check further into the switch in the steering column. With GM cars back in the 1990s and before especially, yours was a common problem.Good luck!Ed
Engine shakes when idling
check the engine lines for air leak, also the manifold on the in let spray some carb cleaner around these areas if the engine sound changes there is your problem. new clutch would not make a difference really only difference it would make is if there is a problem with the transmission. you would need to hold the clutch in when engine is worm and in neutral ans see what the revs do they should drop a small amount but not to much. if it stalls engine it could be the transmission oil needs replacing or you have a leak and you have lost some oil and that is why its hard to use when engine is hot.

No, this is a hydraulic clutch and the only adjustment may b on the pedal linkage for free travel to the master cylinder. It sounds as though you may have a bad clutch master cylinder or defective slave cylinder.
Engine starts and dies
if you have a carby on this engine then check the idle solenoid at the base of the carby for operation
Fuse
hi rodney. first port of call. definitely try the fuse first.they are both usually on the same fuse in some cars. good luck
