On the top of the engine with the fuel injectors attached to it. But why no just press the schrader valve at the rail and see if fuel comes out, or better yet buy a can of starting fluid and spray it into the engine and see if it starts and dies, if it does you are not getting fuel.

Mark, IAC (Idle Air Control Valve), If engine is idling too fast, problem may not be the idle speed control system, but an engine vacuum leak. Check for vacuum leaks first to rule this possibility out. Also on your Toyota low coolant, air in the cooling system can cause the valve not to operate properly as I believe coolant has to run through valve for it to operate correctly. This is the abriviation for the idle air control valve usually located on the throttle body and it controls the amount of air the engine receives at idle.

Possible defective IAC valve or an intake vacuum leak or vacuum hose leaking or disconnected.

Once the screws are out it is pretty hard to get out. I usually use a wooden spoon or paint stir stick to help pry it out. It has a pretty good seal and patients is the ticket here. Keep firmly pulling and using a little prying back and forth until it comes out.

Think your right here but never done one ,but do have a good look first as some vehicles it will come out with just the centre consol removed but these are few and far between ,if dash does have to come out then remove the centre consol first and go from their ,bolts in a steel pipe frame behind the consol then bolts or screws either side and maybe some come in from engine compartment on a lot of vehicles maybe two but often four ,and yes sometimes its a engine out to get to these bolts so beware of anything and everything ,better if you can get a old second hand haynes amnual

double posted, but now the HOW word. so does that mean spark is gone, the spark test failed? we dont proceed until spark is failed. not at all, is it? after all if spark is good, this is barking up the wrong tree. $$$$$$$ ok, in my last post i linked a photo (rockauto) to your coil and if you look there are screws holding it in the dizzy so off the cap, off the screws and wires to it and its free. i bet its not bad. im 99.9% sure. why not ask the ECU why there is no spark, if in FACT the SIMPLE SPARK test fails. i can tell you step by step in general 1: insert CHECK jumper, (paper clip works , metal kind not plastic) 2: crank for 5 sec. 3: release key.
