What should the spark plug gap be set to?
the spec is .043", for both the V6, and the Inline 4. The theory behind enlarging gaps, is that a larger gap creates a larger spark, thus more effecient ignition. The problem is, your ignition system was designed for the .043" spark plug gap, not larger. Enlarging the gap puts a greater strain on your ignition system components, and it may not be strong enough to jump a larger gap. The result would be less efficient combustion, or a cylinder(s) that won't fire at all. Pull your plugs, and set them at .043". Check the distributor cap, rotor, wires, and your filters. Make sure the car is totally warmed up before the smog test. Good luck.
Why won't windows roll down from main switch
If you remove the switch in the effected door, you can pull the wires to that switch and then run a 12 volt source power supply(i've used a battery from a cordless drill. It doesnt take much juice) directly to the wires, making certain that you swap the wires from pos. to neg. trying it in both directions, This will ensure you've got a good wire harness from the main over to the remote window. If the window moves, it's the switch. If it stays up, then you have a bad wire.>hope this helps

Where are the freeze plugs?
Freeze plugs are round steel plugs on center of the engine block.
design to come out if the coolant freezes. after a wile the steel build rust and leak. Some of the plugs are below the exhaust manifold and other on the back below the intake. If you see rusty plugs replace all.
