2000 Toyota ECHO - Answered Questions & Fixed issues

It's really easy to remove the rear speakers. First, get in the trunk and find the 3 white anchors for the rear deck-they're near the rods for the trunk mechanism. Push them through the metal frame to free the deck. Next, you have to get in the back seat and remove the stop light from the deck. To do this, push in the pins on the locking mechanisms on either side of the light to free the back casing. Pull the pins out and the casing off. Next, undo the two bolts holding the stop light in place and pull it off-don't forget to undo the wiring harness. Next, find the three anchoring points for the back seat. Gently lift the two side ones free of their anchors. This gives you access underneath the deck. Free the deck and gently lift it over the seat. You'll have to jimmy it a little to get the locking clamps free--they're all along the back of the deck. Pull it free and you have access to the speakers. I believe the factory speakers are 5 1/4 inches
Try to use Toyota speaker adapter plugs so you don't need to cut wires and mess the electric system up. You can get them from Ebay or Amazon.

I think it is located on the inside part of the engine about half way down.

take off passenger side tire remove the plastic housing and you will get access to the water pump you have to slack up 2 bolts and you should be o.k

I had a similiar problem with mine the hand brake was stuck on and wouldn't let the new drums go back on.

sounds like a bad throw out bearing you have to take the tranny out to replace it.

it can be adjusted by taking off the rear drums and adjusting your rear brakes. or take out the console and there is 2 nuts under there where you can adjust the cables. good luck

check your fuses 2 locations one inside the car passenger side and under the hood on fender passenger side good luck

sounds like a fuse there is a 10 amp fuse for the horn passenger side or check the panel under the hood fender passenger side good luck

most of them are under the dash on passenger side of car i scrapped a 2002 echo and that's where it was located

if you take out the area where the radio is you should be able to let go the whole unit then it would be easier to work on hope this helps

Possible faulty injector low cylinder compression or intake manifold vacuum leak

inside car fuse panel drivers side there is a little cover with fuse panel wrote on it you have to remove

remove little cover inside on the door there is 3 bolts I think take them out the mirror should come off

take off the little plastic cover on top 4 bolts take out the coils mark them remove the wiring harness out of the way then take out the valve cover bolts don't forget the 2 on top of the cover the rocker cover is ready to come off there is also 2 hoses on the rear of the cover has to be removed

The unit with the fan in it comes out separate you shouldn't have to remove the radiator

are you getting a check engine light if so read the codes and see what it tells you them cars had a lot of problems with the box located under the rear of the car back from the tank just check out that system

Just a guess but it might be your fuel relay fuse check out the fuse panel on the outside fender wall drivers side and there's one inside the car drivers side there's a little panel that comes off to get at it hope this helps

Time to go see a transmission specialist.

Then the battery is defective.
