Got 95 tercel heater blows
The fan resistor is bad it is located on the heater box under the dash you may need to remove the glove box door to access it look for a black box under the dashboard with a plug and wire going to it there are usually two screws holding it in the plug attaches to the resistor itself. They usually cost about $40.00
How can I know if my toyota tercel 1995 needs
The only way without an inspection of the brake system is your fluid level in your reservoir. unless its leaking out fluid that is the only way to really tell , as fluid if used up to take the space lost from the brake pads being worn it will deplete in oil in the reservoir.
Peaking at the brake pads or rear brake shoes is another way, but not advisable if you are not able to raise the vehicle up enough to remove the wheels.
I need but cant find a Chilton manual for my 1995 tercel
I only found a front crankshaft seal replacement not the whole crankshaft:
Front Crankshaft Seal
REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
1.5L (5E-FE) Engine
Tercel
NOTE: The front oil seal can be removed from the engine without removing the oil pump.
- Disconnect the negative battery cable from the battery. On vehicles equipped with an air bag, wait at least 90 seconds before proceeding.
- Remove the front covers and the timing belt.
- Remove the crankshaft timing belt sprocket.
WARNING
When removing the front seal, be extremely careful not to damage the crankshaft.
- Using a knife, cut off the oil seal lip.
- Tape the end of a flat bladed tool to avoid damaging crankshaft. Pry out the oil seal using the taped end of the tool.
- Inspect the oil seal riding surface on the crankshaft for signs of wear or damage.
To install:
- Wipe the seal bore with a clean rag.
- Apply multipurpose grease the lip of a new oil seal.
- Drive the oil seal into place using tool SST 09309–37010 or an equivalent seal installer tool. Make sure the seal surface is flush with the oil pump case edge. Work from the front of the cover. Be extremely careful not to damage the seal.
- Install the sprocket without disturbing the Woodruff key.
- Install the timing belt and front covers.
- Connect the negative battery cable to the battery.
- Start the engine and check for leaks
Brake light stays on
The brake light usually comes on when the parking brake is applied. If the brake light is still on after the parking brake is released, then there is something wrong with your brake system. Check your brake hoses, brake lines, and master cylinder for leaks of brake fluid. If you cant find anything, see a mechanic for help.
I need to know which fuse is for my brake lights
hi, if your brake lights wont turn off the the problem you are having is with the switch at the back of the brake pedal it may have come loose or need adjusting.
to find the brake light switch you need to get on your hands and knees and have a close look at the brake pedal, follow the pedal to the top where it goes through into the bonnet and you should then see the brake light switch just behind the brake pedal at the top, it will have a couple of wires going to it now you can either remove the switch or disconect the wires to switch the brake lights off but you should be able to see how it works and adjust it so that your brake lights start working properly again.
hope that is some help to you
I am the owner of a 1995 toyota tercel. I have
if it crank over OK but just don't start? or that it quits cranking over ?/ it could be that it knocked a ground wire loose or that it knocked a chunk of rust off of the gas line. and taking in air /not enough gas/ hope this gives you some idea ,what to look at if you still would like more info feel free to ask .
Hood latch on 95 Toyota Tercel won't shut.
What I would do is spray both the latch and release cable end with a good penetrating fluid. Be quite liberal with it and work the latch open and closed and the cable until both move freely and easily. It may take more than one application of fluid to achieve this. Once it is working freely the spray both with a good lubricant, preferably one with "white lithium grease" in it. Work it into the latch and cable and that should solve your problem. Then once or twice a year give them another application to keep them working. Hope this helps.
