Back brake lights do not
Right at the brake pedal there is a brake light switch that can stuck in the closed position keeping the brake lights on. One way to test it is by removing one of the wires to it, if the light shuts, must be replaced.

About the brake switch
It is a fuse, bulb and or bad wiring at the light or trailer wiring harness (if it has one)
I would try these options first before I began messing with the brake switch. These almost never fail

Outside sliding door handle?
Yes. It is a difficult job, but not impossible. The hardest part is actually removing the interior door handle. Here are the steps.
- remove the interior door handle by pressing the door panel in and prying out the C-ring retainer clip
- remove the lock slide switch bezel with 1 screw, then insert a blade on the bottom left of the slider between the slider and bezel, and release the clip, the slide the bezel toward the rear of the vehicle and pull out
- carefully unclip the door panel around the lower edge and sides and lift the door panel UP and off
- remove the interior lock slide switch with 2 screws
- pull back the plastic vapor shield part way to expose the mechanism
- there is a cable that runs from the mechanism to the exterior handle, unclip it from the door frame
- there is a rod that drops down from the door handle to the mechanism, release the rod from the plastic clip
- locate a large (likely black phillips) screw next to the door handle on the EDGE of the door, remove it
- locate a 10mm screw on the inside behind the door handle, remove it
- locate the final 10mm screw behind the handle through an access hole, remove it (careful not to let it fall inside the door)
- the door handle will push out through the door part way- there is another C-clip securing the lock cylinder that will need to be removed, and the lock cylinder can be pushed into the door cavity
- pull the door handle through the outside of the door skin- the door handle assembly is still attached inside the door by the latch cable- the cable can be easily removed from the handle assembly to remove it completely
- you will likely find that the end of the door handle itself is broken off- don’t buy a new handle! Email me and I will show you my free and possibly better solution that will likely last the life of the vehicle dbonnell1972 at yahoo dot com
re-assembly is the reverse of the removal

Fitting front shocks to a lucida 1994 diesel
PLEASE do not remove the center nut! what you have are called struts. The center nut is what holds the strut/spring together. removing the center nut will cause the strut to come apart with a force that could at worce kill you. Remove the 3 surrounding nuts then the two bolts at the bottom of the strut replace with new. You will have to have a front wheel allignment when done.

If the coolant level is okay, and the temps are running where they should...could be tie for a tranny flush, and filter.
Depending on where you live, adn the hourly rates of your mechanic/garage get ready to lay out around $150.
Good luck, and happy new year from FixYa.com

TOYOTA LUCIDA ESTIMA, INSTALL SUNROOF
I have two things to tell you. Most all sunroofs I have removed, you have to remove inside trim arpound the glass and generally have two bolts on each side that hold it in. Be sure and get any glas in tracks out also with a vacuum first then compressed air, you and probably find a cheap replacement for the glass at www.car-parts.com If you need step by step instructions go here, best site to get them, cost twenty bucks though, BUT if you NEED it, it is well worth it. I have nothing to gain for trying to help you. If this doesn't help you as a fixya vote, plaes do not vote on me at all, thans, I just do this for the rating. God Bless and Merry Christmas

Overheating
First you need to make sure the fans are coming on and if they are make sure they are coming on when the car is over heating because there is a fan relay by your fuses if its going bad it wont turn the fans on or it willl only turn them on sometimes..

Howl rear right wheel
As a matter of fact the diff can make noise on and off the gas, my own car a 1996 Corvette does this, it needs the ring and pinion replaced, is this what you are talking about when you say they told you that you needed a whole new differential?
