did you do a maintenance routine check? like air filter and fuel filter...lastly, do an engine compression

sounds like your brake air booster is gone you must replace with remanufactured or new one! when booster fails pedel tends to get very hard to press !

put a 12 volt test meter on the battery with the engine off and get the reading.
then start the engine and retest the volts it should go up a volt ot two.
if the test readings are the same then the alternator is bad.

no. have to remove cam sprocket and crank sproket.

need to have it tested but the good news is im looking at a flyer i got from a california parts house that has previa trans used low milage installed for $600 if it turns out yours is bad they can ship you one cheap if you have a mechanic i can give you the info or if not may can help autodoc01 @ live .com happy toyotaing

Some vehicles have the back up switch at bottom of steering column. Cargrus has your wiring diagram.

This is not just a matter of checking brake fluid level. Most likely you need to have the brake fluid renewed in the entire brake system, something you should do biannually or so to prevent trouble.

If done in a professional way it will cure your problem, this process includes venting the brake lines for gas bubbles that are trapped inside causing the spongy feeling.

While it is not very difficult to do yourself I would still recommend you to have a professional do it for you, not worth the risks of potential brake failure if done wrong. It is normally an inexpensive procedure.

I can give you some general sidrections as I do not have a manual for your car. But you are better off getting a repair manual from store or online and follow the removal procedures. Take care!

left hand passenger or driver (depend if L or R hand drive) lift the seat andthere is a filler.

The dip stick is under the driver's seat.

sounds like dirty throttle O2 sensor or dirty fuel injection. Spark plugs or leads may be in need of a replacement.

your injectors may be blocked or you may have a spark plug failing or ignition leads needs replacing.

If you have a bad bearing than there is probably metal throughout the whole rear end. I would contact a toyota wrecking yard and price a complete rear end for your vehicle. Search online for a toyota wrecking yard in your area. A complete rear end will be around $600 dollars.

check to see if there is any carbon on the throttle body where the butterfly contacts it. also clean the " business end" of the idle air valve to make sure it's not being held open slightly.

If you look where the parking brake arm is you should se a switch that it pushes against . The switch should be right above the parking brake arm .

it sounds like the heater core is clogged bad if u know someone with a air compressor put a air nossel on it that you pull the trigger to blos air in to the heater core after you take the lines off i had to do this before on a jeep cherokee it did the job
