The C/Tr: C refers to the colour of the vehicle Tr refers to the interior colour A/TM is your transmission type. None of those numbers identify the rear end ratio.

What you need to do: Since you have to replace the rear end, yank it out. Examine the ring & pinion gears on the differential carrier. Mark on each a starting point, and count the teeth on both the ring & pinion gears. Now, after you have both totals of teeth, divide the # of teeth on the pinion by the number of teeth on the ring gear. Example: 12 teeth on the pinion, 46 teeth on the ring
12/46 = 3.83 ratio

My speedometer and odometer quit

My speedometer and odometer quit working. I replaced the sensor on the transmision and it didn't fix the problem. By the way, the part cost me $174.00 + tax. That was an employee price sence I used to be a Manager. What a waste huh?

The odometer quits working when the speedometer quits working. The most common cause for the speedometer to quit working is the speed sensor in the transmission. You said you replaced it, there is also a transmission speed sensor on your truck that may need to be replaced. I understand your frustration, but there is nothing else that would cause the speedometer to quit except the cable behind the gauges being clogged.

first you may have a adapter in line to the transmission that has small gears in it ,quite possible that the adapter has fallen apart.check that it is spinning at the speedo end by disconnecting the cable from the dash ,.or your cable may be broken .last would be the speedo head is faulty.

Dont clean your throttle body yet..........Theres an idle air control valve{ black round top about the size of a 50cent piece} on the back of the throttle body, cleaners will ruin it. It mounts with 2 screws facing the back of the motor. This is what controls your idle.........

1993 TOYOTA PICKUP 5 SPEED MANUAL 4CYL 22RE ENGINE SPEEDOMETER HAD SPELLS OF BOUNCING FROM ZERO TO CURRENT SPEED OR NOT WORKING. IT FINALLY STOPPED WORKING ODOMETER WORKED FOR A COUPLE OF DAYS THEN STOPPED. THIS MODEL DOESN'T HAVE A CABLE LIKE IT SHOWS IN MANUAL NEED DIAGRAM OF SENSORS WHEN LOOKING FOR REPLACEMENT PARTS I HAVE FOUND SOME MODELS HAVE SENSORS FOR THE WHEELS. ANY SUGGESTIONS ON WHERE TO FIND A DIAGRAM. DOES THE SPEED SENSORS OR SPEEDOMETER HAVE ANY FUSES

You may need another speedometer. The speed sensor sends a signal to both the speedo and the odometer. So if the sensor fails, both meters would stop working.
The speedo gets power from the same circuit as the warning lights.
