How do you know the alternator is good? You need a digital multimeter to check. With car off check DC voltage of battery, should be over 12 volts dc. Start car and measure again. If alternator is good, dc volts should now be over original reading, if alternator is faulty battery is not charging. If alternator is good you may have a dead cell in your battery, if so replace. A give away of a dead cell, is that your original reading of dc volts is under 12V.

Please check the: - Ignition system ( Ignition timing, spark plug cords, spark plugs gaps, vacuum advance actuator, contact breaker gap/ trigger gap). - Fuel pump pressure (0.2 - 0.3 bar). - Fuel system (for water contamination, carburetor clogged, element air cleaner clogged or fuel line obstructed). - Clutch plate slippage ( for manual transmission). - Brakes adjustment.

Can't picture the 84 model in my mind,but from experience if there are no visible screws then it is bolted on from behind(if in the bumper assembly) If it is part of /next to the headlight assy then you will probably have to remove the headlight trim and possibly the headlight also. From there you should find some type of retaining device (or combination of them) a screw or bolt and possibly a snap in socket of some kind.

Should be on the ac compressor or in one of the metal lines.

if its a good alternator then the battery must not be holding charge ,or you have a drain on the battery ie interior lights left on.What is the alternator chatge rate ? should be at least 13.25 volts

You jump the fuel pump in the diagnostic check connector.

Your bolt that you tighten to hold alternator is stripped,to fix is to get another bolt but longer with lock washer and nut to tighten down,that's what I use on my 85 nissan,they are so easy to over tighten and strip,it's common,lol.You can take bolt to Autozone and they will have what you need.It's easier to have someone help when putting on belt to get good tension,but don't over tighten cause the water pump uses the belt too.will be it and it will leak or bearing will go bad.

The car should be worth no more than 2000. There's no such thing as a celica supra, it's either a celica or supra. Don't be fooled

Is it locked up or not turning when you try to start the car? Pull the distributor out and make sure the shaft isn't sheered off or the teeth aren't broken. You may have a seized up distributor shaft and it could have broken.

If it is equipped with electronic fuel injection there is a computer to control it.

Do you mean defrost on rear window. If this is the case check the fuse to make sure it has not blown.
