2005 Toyota Tacoma will go

Flashing means that it did not engauge, you may have to put it in 4 LO and let the truck roll a little to get it to engauge, same with the locking rear diff. These lock via electric motor and you may need to move to get it to mesh.

Battery ,abs,and brake lights are

Hello and welcome to FixYa!

If the battery light is on, I strongly suggest that you have the battery charged. It can be an indication of a weak battery or a faulty alternator. If the battery light still on after charging then the problem will surely be on the alternator itself. If that's the case the alternator should be replaced to resolve the problem.

If the battery won't hold charge even on a new alternator then the problem will be on the battery itself. It surely is in the end of it's service life and replacement will be necessary.

You may try to reset it to by removing the positive battery connector, letting it sit for at least 5mins. then reconnect it again. This will reset the system and can get the battery light off.

Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!

When I apply the brakes while driving I experience

generally that is an indicator of a warped disc, odd on a car that new. if is is still under a 5 year bumper to bumper, and the mileage has not been exceeded, then a dealer will most likely give and install you some new discs. go ahead and pay for a new set of pads as well as they will not be covered under warranty, and the additional labor will be zero. I would definitely take this to a dealer in case there is some type of recall on a caliper or something, toyota brakes should be good much longer before a service. if you have a bazillion miles on it though you will be paying the whole bill.
