The pigtail to my driver's side low beam headlight is fried. I am talking about the part that plugs into the bulb. I have a new one, but I'm not sure how to change it.

Cut and splice is the only way to do this and if you are going to do it correctly, you need to solder the connections and have them incased in heat shrink tubing with water repellant.

Why is this vehicle not under recall

Probably because there have not been enough repairs to suggest there was is manufacturing defect or a safety concern. The vehicle may have been abused, subjected to a large amount of road salt, partially submerged, etc. Also, these parts might just be worn out. Some cars are driven 4, 5 or more TIMES as far as other cars that are the same age. Further, cars driven at highway speeds most of the time will last longer than the same car driven over dirt roads.

check the cabin air filter if equipped, Make sure that the air is not coming out of the floor vents or defrost. The door that diverts the air maybe stuck, pushing air out defrost/floor vents

A check engine light just means that something isn't working properly, but ignoring it can be expensive down the road, recheck the work you did to the engine, something may not be connected correctly or loose.

While driving my Altis 2007, i ran into a pothole

You've bent either the rim or the steering arms. You can't "straighten" the bent parts. Take it to a repair shop for part replacement. And soon before you have a steering failure and an accident.

Check coolant level in the radiator when the engine is cold, usually in the morning. If it does't solve the problem check the engine coolant temperature sensor and the harness wiring.

Where is the dipstick in 2007

I cannot understand which dipstick you do want to know about. If you want to know about the auto transmission, it is Continuous Variable Transmission CVT. It does not have any dipstick on it. To check the CVT oil level do the following: - Park the car on a level floor. - Open the Allen head bolt from under the transmission oil pan with 6 mm Hex Allen key. CAUTION: Always wear safety goggles. Keep your eyes away to avoid the oil getting in. - If the oil is seen coming out of this hole the level is OK. If not, open a bolt (marked with TC) attached to the upper left side of the transmission with wrench, add original Toyota CVT Fluid TC with part number 08886-02105 printed on the tin. Thank you for visiting Fixya.
