I think the trailer wiring is incorrect.

I am not familiar with this car, but I think you get the timing from the crankshaft sensor, unless you still have a distributor.

where the wiring goes from the rear door to the body of the car check for broken wires or take panel of and check all wires for braeks splits or bad connections

I would try to Google it first. A lot of people post the diagrams on line. I take it that the diagram is not on your fan shroud, another place to try is the dealership.

camshaft sensor could be going bad but that doesnt mean you have a bad cam
