Chang spark plugs on 2005 toyota tacoma

V6 I assume... Easy job but you need a long 12" socket extension. Disconnect them on top, reach down inside with the socket and extension, only one was dificult and required a bracket to be moved. Its about a 45 minute job. Don't be suiprised when you find that there are 2 brands on plugs in your truck, thats how the factory did it. Denso on one side, NGK on the other. Best replacement, go to your dealer and buy 6 new NGKs, they're less that $3 each.

My 2005 Tacoma's ac light blinks and there is

Sounds like the AC compressor is out. If you are handy and want to fix it yourself, you will save anywhere from $1200-2200. The compressor is sold on an online auction site for just under $400 - far less than the $700 from the dealer. I am having the same issue and will be attempting the fix shortly. Good luck! Also, the service manual is also online showing how to do it.

I have a 2005 tacoma

i have included a wiring diagram of the starting circuit, as you can see from the diagram there is two power feed wires from the battery one of which goes to the starter the other to the power distribution box the only way the lights and starter could be effected is if the battery were the problem. the lights should not go out wile cranking the engine if they do have the battery load tested not just tested for power, there might be a cell plate grounding out when the battery is put under a load.

My '05 Tacoma 3.5L has

Could be a problem with the throttle position sensor. If the carbon track on which the throttle plate slider contact runs has dirt on it or is worn then this would interrupt signal to the ECU. The TPS has three pins in the socket. Two (usually the outer two) supply the 5 volts reference and 0 volts ground to the carbon strip. the middle pin measures the voltage 'tapped' by the throttle position sliding contact. Disconnect the TPS lead and with a voltmeter simply measure the resistance between one of the outer pins and the middle pin as the throttle plate is opened and closed. The response should be smooth chnage in resistance with no 'drop-outs'. If a drop is consistently detected at a particular throttle plate position then the TPS needs to opened and cleaned if dirty or replaced if faulty.

2005 TOYOTA TACOMA 4.L V6 CRANK SENSOR LOCATION

It is mounted in the transmission bellhousing. If you can follow the engine control computer wires, they will lead you to the side of the bellhousing that the crankshaft sensor is on. If you have purchased the sensor, then it will be easy to spot as you will have an idea of what you are looking for.

My outside temp display does not light.What can I

I had the same problem. Its the 510 chip that needs resoldering. Its easy to fix. Take the one screw (located by the eye glass compartment) off and pull the front down (display side) which is held in by clips. The temp/compass is connect with two connectors (easily uncouple) remove the display cover. You will see two small '510' chips. The lower one is the culprit. You'll see the solder melted away on one end. Just resolder with a light solder gun/pen. Very easy. Took 30 minutes to fix. happy holidays

2005 toyota tacoma 2.7 code p0037 replace rear 02

P0037 - O2 Oxygen Sensor Circuit High Voltage (Bank1, Sensor2)

The Heated Oxygen Sensor (2) located rear of catalytic converter produces an output signal relative to oxygen storage capacity of catalytic converter. Ho2S 2 signal is less active than signal produced by front oxygen sensor. This code sets when HO2 Sensor voltage is greater than 999 mV for more than 2 minutes (time depends on model. Could be as high as 4 minutes)

Symptoms: There may be no noticeable symptoms except for MIL illumination. Possible high fuel pressure can over rich the system.

Causes: A code P0138 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:
* Faulty O2 sensor
* Short to battery voltage in O2 sensor signal circuit
* High fuel pressure (not as likely)

Here are some potential solutions:
* Replace O2 sensor
* Repair short to battery voltage in o2 sensor signal circuit

If you replaced the O2 sensor, then its possible that you have some electrical problem there; reset the codes first, and if this come on again, check in this link TSB P0037 electrical diagnostic procedure.

Keep us updated.

The speed sensor in the transmission in the transfer case, it sends a signal to the computer to make the speedometer work, it's very common for the speed sensor to develop problems so I would recommend replacing it.

Light has gone out on the console display for

2005-2009 Toyota Tacoma Overhead Console Fuse test
* does your cruise control work?
* do you brake lights work?
* does your dome light work?
The 10 amp IGI #2 fuse controls several other components including the dome light, cruise control, and
brake lights. If these are working but the compass is dim, intermittent, or dead then the control module
has gone bad.
This is a very common problem with the 05-09 Tacoma. The console is very prone to internal failure. I offer a reasonable repair service with a lifetime guarantee, check it out: www.autoclockrepair.com
There is a bunch of useful info there. Drop me an email if you have questions, thanks!
