As with most electrical repairs this is almost impossible to tell you costs involved.
It will depend on where and how the short took place and how far the damage has extended.
If it is one wire shorted to ground it may not be as bad. But if one wire shorts into another it can damage several circuits.
In one case I have seen where a starter circuit shorted, burned into several others. This started a small fire in the engine compartment. The insurance wrote off the vehicle due to repair costs.
Most certainly this will not be the case in your situation, just an example of the variation.

You will need to trace the short and have it repaired.
A good tech should be looked for in the repair as it will save you in the long run.

No, but the exact same thing happens to my 2003 Sequoia. I came across a recall for that problem and if you have the lucky vin# toyota will fix it. If not, you'll have to pay yourself even though it's the exact same problem. Toyota's #18003314331. Good Luck!

This is what we do at the dealer to open the gate, when you get your new handle pay attention how is designed, now you know how you going to go true the little hole and stick a curb screw driver and catch the inner lever to open the door, you may have to brake the section of the old handle that is in your way, between your tool and the hole. - remove screws (bolts) of the cover located between right front wheel & vehicle body.. supposed to be 6 or 8
- ON the Antenna itself, you'll see 2 grooves, use flat Screwddriver to unlock it ... Anti-Clock wise all the way until you get the whole Antenna body dropped down
- Just Unplug the cable and replace the new Antenna
- Reverse what you've done to put the new one ON

if both fans are working normally... you need to check radiators (both engine and A/C: start with the big one.. could be dirty blocking flow of coolant!)
