Switch turned on map light but will not turn light
Problem might be that one end of the spring sits on a small black piece of plastic which has popped out of position. I have NOT tried to actually fix the problem, yet, but just removed the bulb so that the battery doesn't drain.
3 screws need to be removed to see the black piece:
- With a very-thin, flat screwdriver CAREFULLY pry the lens-cover off; I don't suggest trying this if you can't do it gently since you might crack the cover. If you then look upward in the center of the uncovered area, you will see the screw that needs to be removed.
- Drop down the "sun-glasses compartment" and you will see the remaining 2 screws that need to be removed.
Finally, carefully disconnect at least 1 of the electrical harnesses.
You should see the small, black plastic piece in its correct position on the properly functioning light switch.
Good Luck!

Where do I add water
'don't open when hot' is where you fill-that is your fill cap for coolant, use a 50/50 mix of antifreeze and water, and fill to the cold fill level. And, don't do this if the engine is hot or has just been run for more than a few minutes.

2001 Avalon cigarette lighter has no power, 5A
There are 2 common problems for this, 1 is the power connecting wire to the lighter housing falls off, or if the wire is connected and has power, the lighter unit itself has an internal open circuit and needs to be replaced.

The electrical suppy warning light
Hello and welcome to FixYa!
If the battery light is on, I strongly suggest that you have
the battery charged. It can be an indication of a weak battery or a faulty
alternator. If the battery light still on after charging then the problem will
surely be on the alternator itself. If that's the case the alternator should be
replaced to resolve the problem.
If the battery won't hold charge even on a new alternator
then the problem will be on the battery itself. It surely is in the end of it's
service life and replacement will be necessary.
You may try to reset it to by removing the positive battery
connector, letting it sit for at least 5mins. then reconnect it again. This
will reset the system and can get the battery light off.
Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good
one!

Appears it is an Oxygen sensor error, they are located in the exhaust system, in the v6, that code indicates the second bank (but unsure which bank that is) Ideally you need to take the car in for service, or at least inspect the Oxygen sensors, the code indicates that teh heater element has failed.
How can I turn Off
It takes a special reset tool. VSC (Vehicle Stability Control) it's Toyotas' version of anti lock brakes. One of your sensors are either loose, shorted or disconnected and it needs to reset once scan has been done.
The trunk release on the dash does not work, but
Okay this means its working good and not a fuse or broken wire to trunk release, this leave one of two things that may be wrong, the first and most common is someone forgot to reconnect the switch connector when they remove the cover for some reason or the switch is bad, remove the cover that the switch is on and see if the connector is plugged into the switch, if it is then you may have a bad switch but i think you will find the connector is not connected, hope this helps.
