I cannot seem to find the Mass Air Flow sensor on my wife's '98 Camry 4cyl, 2.2l. It should be attached right after the air intake/filter box and right before the air intake hose, right? I have looked at diagrams from Autozone and they do not match what I am seeing under the hood. Am I just being stupid or do some Camrys not have a MAF sensor?
You are not stupd! :-) This car has a speed-density system. The computer is programmed to meter fuel and spark timing from manifold absolute pressure (MAP), engine temperature, air temperature, and throttle position only.
Are you having a problem?

brake lights are not working but the brake light in the rear back window is.
"STOP" It should be located by the "TAIL" fuse which is for the tail lights.

For the past week, I've been trying to replace the camshaft sensor, but for the love of me I cannot find where it's located. Any assistance would be great.
What motor? In the 2.2 L (not sure what they put in yours) it is in the distributor. See here p 23 and 46

I went out to my Toyota Camry tonight and the door was locked. Why it was locked in the garage, I don't know. When I opened it the car alarm went off. Even when the door is unlocked the light inside the car is flashing saying the alarm system is on. Someone recommended that I take out the fuse for the security alarm, start the car and let it run, and then put the fuse back in. The problem is that the diagrams in the fuse boxes don't indicate one for the car alarm. What do you suggest?
I have this same crazy problem with my Camry. When you push the button then open the door on the driver side really quick, the alarm starts to blow off. So what I used to do everytime is push the button to unlock all the doors then open whichever door you want. It won't scream. Try it.

Hello everyone. I have a general car knowleadge question. Don't believe I have ever had a problem here but I am curious. What is the differential on a front wheel drive car? I never quite understood what that was, and how would you know if it was ever going bad or having problems? I'm just trying to improve my car knowleadge. Thanks for the responses!
The differential on a front wheel drive car is not a separate component, but is part of (inside) the transaxle. On a rear wheel drive car, the transmission and differential (drive axle) are separate, and connected togrther via a driveshaft.
The purpose of a differential is to allow the two driven wheels to turn at different speeds. As the car goes around a corner, the outside wheel travels further than the inside wheel, and thus must turn more revolutions. If the two wheels were solidly connected together, one tire would skid any time the car was not travelling in a straight line.
